Mobile proxies for AdsPower: setup, connection test and fixes

The short answer

AdsPower is the antidetect browser widely used for ad accounts and marketplace stores, with a Proxies page for bulk import and a proxy check in every profile. The proxy is the half of a profile the browser cannot provide, and the rule is one exit per profile that does not change while the profile is open. Where the proxy goes in AdsPower

AdsPower puts the proxy in the profile: new profile (or edit), Proxy section, proxy type HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5, then host, port, proxy account (the username) and proxy password, and a check button. The Proxies page imports many at once in host:port:account:password format and assigns them to profiles. Labels move between releases; the four values do not.

Step by step: a QuanticData mobile proxy in a AdsPower profile

1. Get the four values. In the QuanticData dashboard pick a mobile pack ($5 for 1 GB is enough to test) and open the endpoint generator: host, HTTP and SOCKS5 ports, a username built for you, the password.
2. Build the account string for this profile. Country of the account, a session ID only this profile uses, a lifetime covering the time the profile stays open: USER-country-de-sid-store03-ttl-1440m. Add -isp-o_deutschland or another carrier code from the country page to pin an operator.
3. Open the profile and its Proxy section. New profile, Proxy: proxy type HTTP or SOCKS5 (SOCKS5 is the usual choice for apps that tunnel more than web traffic).
4. Enter host, port, account, password. Host and port from the dashboard, matching the protocol; proxy account = the whole username string; proxy password = the dashboard password. For many profiles, paste lines of host:port:account:password on the Proxies page and assign one per profile.
5. Check the proxy. AdsPower shows the exit IP, country and time zone. Country must match the account; let the profile derive its time zone from the proxy.
6. Save, open the profile; to change the proxy later, edit the profile’s Proxy section. Changing a proxy is editing the same four fields; keep the session ID if the account should keep its exit, change it if you want a fresh one. Every other profile gets its own -sid-.

No screenshots on this page on purpose: the fields move between releases and a stale screenshot misleads more than it helps. The four values and the check button are constant.

One sticky session per profile: the username

The configuration travels in the username, so the profile’s proxy settings never change once written. USER and PASS stand for the dashboard credentials.

Three rules: a distinct -sid- for every profile; a -ttl- equal to the time the profile stays open (up to 1440 minutes on mobile); the country taken from the account, with the profile’s time zone and language matching the exit. Leave the carrier out to rotate across all operators of the country; pin it when a phone-like profile should look local.

AdsPower proxy not working: causes and fixes

For every antidetect browser the searches for its proxy errors outnumber the searches for the product. These are the causes we see, in the order to check them.

A test that settles most cases in a minute, outside the browser: curl -x "$PROXY_HOST" -U "USER-country-us-sid-p01-ttl-10m:PASS" https://ipinfo.io/json. If it returns a US carrier address, the proxy is fine and the problem is in the profile’s fields.

AdsPower’s own proxies versus one you bring

AdsPower states that it does not sell proxies and keeps a page of recommended providers instead; the browser is neutral about where the four values come from. What this page does not promise

A proxy supplies the network half of a profile’s identity. It does not make an account "undetectable", it does not change a platform’s rules on multiple accounts, and an antidetect setup used to break those rules is still against them.
