Best proxies for the UK in 2026, compared by criteria

The best proxies for the UK in 2026 are, for most jobs, residential exits at $1.00/GB with city targeting; for accounts, 4G/5G carrier IPs on Three, BT or O2, which the top-ranked Reddit thread on this query also prefers because so many UK residential ranges are overused. What each network gives you, what we measured from British exits, how to buy either.

The short answer for the UK

The UK has a peculiarity the search results already know: the first organic result for "best proxies for UK" is a Reddit thread whose top answer says mobile proxies are the better choice because most residential ranges "are currently used and abused". That matches what we sell the UK for. Residential Basic at $1.00/GB, with 35 UK cities in the catalog, for scraping, price and ads checks and geo testing: 5 of 5 country matches and a 0.87 s median time to first byte from British exits in our residential test, the second fastest of ten countries. Mobile at $5 for 1 GB, with Three, BT and O2 selectable by name, for accounts and phone-first apps: 5 of 5 country matches, 1.26 s median, BT, Vodafone and Three exits seen without pinning a carrier.

ISP static addresses for logins that must keep one IP for weeks, and datacenter from $0.50/GB for sites that do not check origin, are the other two rows; both are on their product pages.

The rule that saves money in the UK as anywhere: start with the cheapest network the target accepts, measure a block, then move up. The proxy tester builds the curl, Python and Node commands for that check.

British mobile carriers you can name, and what the catalog lists

On 20 September 2026 the mobile targeting catalog listed 194 countries and territories, 604 regions and 994 cities, with a selectable carrier in 140 countries (410 operators in total). For the UK it lists 3 operators, 3 regions and 35 cities. The upstream pool exceeds 500k mobile IPs worldwide; the catalog counts locations, not IPs per country, and we do not publish a per-country IP figure.

O2-isp-o_ukSame: pin it, and keep the choice constant for that account

Example of a place-level username, taken from the catalog: USER-country-gb-region-england-city-birmingham lands in Birmingham, England. The UK mobile page lists every region and city with the operators associated with it.

What we measured from British exits

Numbers about our own network only count if they can be checked, so both rows below come from tests with the raw rows published: 170 residential requests across ten countries on 8 September 2026 and 98 mobile requests across eight countries on 13 September 2026, five rotating exits per country, each looked up off-proxy for country and ASN and then fetching a 119,573-byte HTML page.

British rows from the two tested articles. No carrier or ISP was pinned; the exits are what the pool handed out.

Residential Basic5/55/50.87 s3 distinct ISP ASNs in 5 runs

What it does not prove: five runs per country from one machine on one afternoon is a small sample, and nothing here is a success rate on a site that fingerprints or challenges. Method and limits: residential, tested and mobile, tested.

What the UK proxy market looks like from the search results

Besides the Reddit thread, the results for the UK are provider location pages, two listicles, a consumer magazine's ranking and a free-proxy list; for "UK mobile proxies" specifically, small dedicated-modem shops selling a UK port by the hour or the day rank next to the large networks. A port is the right product if you saturate it; at our 500 GB rate a port at $8.49 a day only pays off past 3.7 GB a day through that one IP. The per-GB versus per-port arithmetic is on the mobile comparison.

The intent behind "best UK proxies" is mixed with "UK ISP proxies", "UK 4G proxies" and "buy UK proxies" in the suggestions, which is why this page covers all four networks rather than one.

Published prices of other providers

Other providers publish one price list for every country, so their entry prices live on the global comparisons rather than here: residential, 14 providers read on 8 September 2026 and mobile, 15 providers read on 13 September 2026. Ours for the UK are the same as everywhere else:

Getting a UK exit in one line

Host and port are shown in the dashboard after purchase; USER and PASS stand for the credentials. The username does the routing on both networks.

# residential, rotating, the UK
      curl -x "$PROXY_HOST" -U "USER-country-gb:PASS" https://ipinfo.io/json

      # residential, sticky for 30 minutes, Birmingham
      curl -x "$PROXY_HOST" -U "USER-country-gb-region-england-city-birmingham-sid-a1b2c3-ttl-30m:PASS" https://ipinfo.io/json

      # mobile, one carrier, sticky for 12 hours (one session ID per account)
      curl -x "$PROXY_HOST" -U "USER-country-gb-isp-three-sid-acct01-ttl-720m:PASS" https://ipinfo.io/json

HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 share the credentials. Prefer an API to a proxy for the data side? The SERP API and the Web Scraper API take the country as a parameter and return JSON, billed per successful result.

FAQ

The questions people put to search engines and AI assistants about proxies for the UK, answered with the numbers on this page.

Something else? Ask us

What are the best proxies for the UK?

For scraping, price and ads checks and geo testing, residential exits with city targeting at $1.00/GB; for accounts and apps that expect a phone, 4G/5G carrier IPs on Three, BT and O2, sticky up to 24 hours, $5 for 1 GB. QuanticData sells both on one account with no subscription and no KYC, and our British exits matched the country 5 of 5 times on each network in the published tests.

Mobile or residential proxies for the UK?

Residential when the site checks origin but not device, which is most scraping and verification work; mobile when the account or the app expects a phone, or when residential exits are already being blocked. From British exits we measured 0.87 s median time to first byte on residential and 1.26 s on mobile. Start with residential at $1.00/GB, measure, move up.

How much do UK proxies cost?

The same as every country on QuanticData: residential from $1.00/GB ($0.80 at 1,000 GB) with a free 100 MB trial, mobile $5 for 1 GB down to $2.30/GB at 500 GB, one-off packs valid 30 to 360 days on residential and 90 days on mobile. Other providers' published entry prices, read from their pages on 8 and 13 September 2026, are on the global comparisons.

Are free British proxies safe to use?

For loading a page to see that it exists, they work sometimes. For anything that logs in, pays, or represents you, no: the free lists in the UK search results are shared, short-lived addresses of unknown ownership. A $5 pack, with 100 MB free to test first, is the smallest honest alternative.

Are mobile proxies really better than residential in the UK?

For accounts, often yes: a carrier address is shared by thousands of real phones, so platforms rarely block it, and the Reddit thread that ranks first for this query says the same about overused UK residential ranges. For scraping and checks, residential at $1.00/GB is the economical choice and our UK residential exits matched the country 5 of 5 times. Measure a block before paying the mobile premium.

Can I get a London exit?

Yes: London is among the 35 UK cities in the mobile catalog and residential takes -region- and -city- in the username. Pin a city only when the job is local; a country-level username rotates across all of them.
