Car rental companies in Italy with phone numbers and addresses
A list of car rental companies in Italy — short-term car hire, rent-a-car desks and van rental — with phone, website, email and the address of the rental branch, meaning the desk where the vehicles are picked up. In Bologna one run on 4 October 2026 returned at least 105 rental companies. With a free account you get 20 sample rows; one province costs €0.08 per row + VAT.

What this list of Italian car rental companies is
It is the list of the car rental companies in an Italian area (car hire agencies, rent-a-car desks, van rental, branches of the big brands and independent operators), with business name, branch address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
Whoever searches for car rental companies in Italy mostly lands on comparison and booking sites: they are built to rent a car, not to sell to the companies that rent them. Our file is for whoever sells to rental companies and needs to know where each desk is. In the same city a big brand often has several branches, for example at the station and in an industrial area: in the file each one is its own row, with its own address and phone.
The numbers on this page are for Bologna: the «autonoleggio» search of 4 October 2026 returned 140 listings; 35 belonged to other categories (chauffeur and taxi services, coach hire, garages, car dealers, car parks) and we took them out, because that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. That leaves 105 rental companies, car hire and van hire agencies.
The fields you get on every row
These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and website appear only on the rows of businesses that publish them.
| Field | Type | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| Business | text | The name the business shows on its public listing. |
| Category | text | The category the listing shows today. Listings of other categories are left out. |
| Address, postcode, comune and province | text | The operating address, where the business works and answers, in separate columns so you can split the list by area. |
| Phone and Phone 2 | text | The published numbers, in international format. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni). |
| Email and email type | text | The email the business publishes on its own website, with its type: generic, personal or certified (PEC). Empty when we did not find one. |
| Website | URL | The business domain when we find it on the listing; empty when we do not. |
| Operating address check | yes / no | Yes when the map listing and the national directory listing show the same address. |
| Status on the map | text | Hours shown, temporarily closed or permanently closed, as the listing shows it on the day we read it. |
| Rating and number of reviews | number | The average rating and the review count of the listing: an order of magnitude of the client volume. |
| Directory and map listing | URL | The two public pages the row comes from: the source of every value, open to check. |
| Checked on | date | The day we read the sources for that row. |
| Row ID | text | A stable code, so the same business does not reach you twice across orders. |

What we check on every row
Collecting a value is not checking it: this is what we do, row by row, before the file reaches you.
The sector from the listing, not the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing; listings of other categories stay out.
Operating address confirmed
The column says «yes» when the map listing and the national directory listing give the same address; otherwise it says which of the two sources gives it.
No duplicates, not even across orders
Listings of the same business become one row, and a business you already received in an earlier order does not reach you again.
The contacts you already have stay out
If you upload a file of your contacts to the dashboard (emails, phones, websites or VAT numbers), those businesses stay out of the list and are not charged.
Date read on every row
The «Checked on» column is the day we read the sources of that row; «Directory listing» and «Map listing» link to the pages it comes from.
Emails read on the website, with their type
The email is the one the business publishes on its own website, with its type: generic, personal or certified (PEC). We deliver only emails whose domain has a mail server (MX check): the others stay empty and are not charged as rows with an email.
Phones in international format
Every number is written as +39 followed by the number, with a second phone when the business publishes two.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.

Pricing
What it costs
You pay for the rows you receive: one whole province, or up to 60 municipalities of the same province, as CSV or XLSX. First you download 20 real rows for free.
Measured example. Car rental companies in Bologna: at least 105 found in one run on 4 October 2026. That is under the 150-row minimum order: you set 150 rows as the cap and pay only for the rows delivered, here from about €8 + VAT.
Prices exclude VAT (Italian VAT 22%). Minimum order 150 rows. When you order you set the most rows you want: you pay only for the rows delivered.
You pay from your account balance, which is in US dollars: in the dashboard the price per row and the spend cap are shown in dollars. The balance is topped up by card or PayPal, with 22% VAT on the top-up.
30-day guarantee
For 30 days from delivery you report, row by row, a wrong field: an email that bounces, a phone number that does not exist or is invalid, a business that is closed, a wrong category. You do it from «My lists», with «Report a wrong field». For every accepted report the price of that row goes back to your QuanticData balance: at once if the email domain no longer receives mail or the number is not a valid Italian number, after a check by our team in the other cases. Phones that are switched off or not answered are not covered.
Would you rather build it yourself? Self-service API: from $0.01 per lead, local_business_leads collector, $2 of free credit every month, failed extractions not charged.
Who buys a list of car rental companies in Italy
Not someone who needs a car for the weekend: companies that sell to rental operators and need the desk address, not the group head office.
Booking and fleet management software
Online booking, digital contracts and vehicle management: the independent operators with a website are the ones already ready for a demo.
Insurance for rental fleets
Fleet policies and damage cover to offer to renters: the list is built province by province and cleared of the companies marked as closed on the map.
Dealers and vehicle suppliers
Whoever sells cars and vans to fleets: the category separates car hire from van hire, and every branch has its own phone.
Cleaning, washing and vehicle maintenance
Car washes, garages and tyre shops working for rental companies: what counts is the return point, where the vehicles come back every day.
Telematics and on-board devices
Trackers, digital keys and black boxes: the address of every branch lets you offer them branch by branch.
Hotels and travel agencies looking for a partner
Hotels and agencies that offer car hire to their guests look for a rental company nearby: address and phone make the first filter.
Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: business name, branch address, published number, website and the emails the company publishes on its own website. No consumer data, no private contacts, no data on rental customers, no personal profiles bought from third parties.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. Next to the branches of the big brands there are many small operators who are sole traders: for them the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent, or for the cases where the law does not require it, such as existing customers for similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you.
If your business is in one of our lists and you want it out, the business name and the contact detail to remove are enough: remove your business from our lists.
Sources and standards: Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni (Italian do-not-call register) · Garante Privacy — telemarketing and unwanted calls · GDPR, recital 47 — legitimate interest
Frequently asked questions
What buyers ask us before ordering. If something is missing, write the question in the form above: a person replies.
Ask us a question →How many car rental companies are there in Italy?
It depends on the area. The only number we measured is Bologna: at least 105 car rental companies in a single run on 4 October 2026, after removing other categories. We do not publish a national total because we have not counted one. When you order you set the most rows you want and pay only for the rows delivered.
Are the branches of the big rental brands separate rows?
Yes. Every rental branch with its own map listing is a row of its own, with its own address and phone: in the Bologna run the same brand appears with different branches, for example at the station and in an industrial area. If you only want the independent operators, name and website let you filter out the brands before calling.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. In car rental, branches open, close and change hands: the map status shows, row by row, who is marked as temporarily or permanently closed.
How many Italian rental companies in the list have an email?
The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the company website, so coverage depends on how many have one. In the Bologna sample, 87 rental companies out of 105 (83%) had a website to visit. For branches of the big brands the website is the national one, so the email is often the central one. In the free sample you see how many rows have an email before you pay.
Is it legal to contact these car rental companies?
They are business contacts published by the businesses themselves; for B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest (recital 47). Commercial emails and SMS sent through automated systems need the recipient's prior consent (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code), except the soft-spam case of existing customers for similar products. Operator calls are allowed to numbers not listed in Italy's do-not-call register, the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni. With the file you become an independent controller.
Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?
CSV or XLSX, with the source and the date we read it on every row. You download the 20-row sample after creating the free account: at once if it is ready, otherwise after a few minutes. The list you order is built from the sources at that moment: a province usually takes about ten minutes and the file stays in «My lists».
Can I get car rental companies for one province or the towns around an airport?
Yes: you order one whole province, or pick up to 60 municipalities of the same province, for example those around an airport or a station. It costs €0.08 per row + VAT, with a minimum order of 150 rows, and you pay only for the rows delivered.
API or finished file: which is better?
The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.
What guarantee is there on quality?
For 30 days from delivery you report, row by row, a wrong field: an email that bounces, a phone number that does not exist or is invalid, a business that is closed, a wrong category. You do it from «My lists», with «Report a wrong field». For every accepted report the price of that row goes back to your QuanticData balance: at once if the email domain no longer receives mail or the number is not a valid Italian number, after a check by our team in the other cases. Phones that are switched off or not answered are not covered.
