Bars and cafes in Italy with phone numbers and addresses
A list of bars and cafes in Italy (the Italian bar is a coffee bar: bar, bar caffè, caffetteria and bar tabaccheria), with phone, website, email and the address of the venue. It is not a guide to where to drink: it is the file for whoever sells to bars. In Florence one run on 4 October 2026 returned 153 of them. Get 20 free rows, then the file for one province from €290.

What this list of Italian bars and cafes is
It is the list of the bars of an Italian area (bars, coffee bars, cafes, historic caffè and bar tabaccheria, the bar that also sells tobacco), with business name, venue address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
Whoever looks for a list of bars and cafes in Italy mostly lands on menus, price lists and city guides: they are for whoever wants a coffee or is writing a price list. Our file is for whoever sells to bars and needs the venue address, the phone and, when there is one, the website and email. The Italian bar is the typical customer of the Ho.Re.Ca. channel: coffee, drinks, pastries, machines and tills all go through the counter.
The numbers on this page are for Florence: the «bar caffetteria» search of 4 October 2026 exhausted the map results for the city and returned 196 listings; 43 belonged to other categories (restaurants, pastry shops, bistros, cocktail bars) and we took them out, because that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. That leaves 153 bars and cafes.
The fields you get on every row
These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and website appear only on the rows of businesses that publish them.
| Field | Type | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| Business | text | The name the business shows on its public listing. |
| Category | text | The category the listing shows today. Listings of other categories are left out. |
| Address, postcode, comune and province | text | The operating address, where the business works and answers, in separate columns so you can split the list by area. |
| Phone and Phone 2 | text | The published numbers, in international format. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni). |
| Email and email type | text | The email the business publishes on its own website, with its type: generic, personal or certified (PEC). Empty when we did not find one. |
| Website | URL | The business domain when we find it on the listing; empty when we do not. |
| Operating address check | yes / no | Yes when the map listing and the national directory listing show the same address. |
| Status on the map | text | Hours shown, temporarily closed or permanently closed, as the listing shows it on the day we read it. |
| Rating and number of reviews | number | The average rating and the review count of the listing: an order of magnitude of the client volume. |
| Directory and map listing | URL | The two public pages the row comes from: the source of every value, open to check. |
| Checked on | date | The day we read the sources for that row. |
| Row ID | text | A stable code, so the same business does not reach you twice across orders. |
How we build the list
Four choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.
The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.
The operating address, not only the registered office
The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.
Source and date on every row
Every row carries the links to the two public listings it comes from and the day we read it.
Every month, only the changes
With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.

Pricing
What it costs
We prepare the ready file for the area you name: deduplicated, operating address checked, source and date on every row, CSV or XLSX ready for your CRM. First you get 20 free rows of your area. If you would rather rebuild it yourself, there is the API.
Would you rather rebuild it yourself? Self-service API: from $0.01 per lead, local_business_leads collector, $2 of free credit every month, failed extractions not charged.
The API price is per row delivered: failed extractions are not charged and rows with neither phone nor website are not counted. Prices of the finished files exclude VAT.
Who buys a list of bars and cafes in Italy
Not someone looking for breakfast: companies that sell to bars and need the counter address. No data on their customers ever enters the file.
Coffee roasters and suppliers
Blends, capsules and supply contracts with the machine on loan: sold venue by venue, starting from the neighbourhood.
Ho.Re.Ca. drinks distributors
Water, soft drinks, beer and juices: repeat deliveries, where the venue address and a phone that answers are what count.
Croissants, pastries and frozen bakery
Breakfast bakery products: the list is built round by round and filtered on the bars still open.
Coffee machines and technical service
Sale, rental and servicing of machines and grinders: address and postcode let you plan the technicians’ rounds.
Tills, card terminals and venue software
Fiscal tills, payments and table ordering: the bars with a website are the ones already ready for a demo.
Local marketing agencies
Websites and online listings: an empty website column tells you which bars to start from.
Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: business name, venue address, published number, website and the emails the bar publishes on its own website. No consumer data, no private contacts, no data on the venue’s customers, no personal profiles bought from third parties.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. Many bars are sole traders or small partnerships: for sole traders the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent, or for the cases where the law does not require it, such as existing customers for similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you.
If your business is in one of our lists and you want it out, the business name and the contact detail to remove are enough: remove your business from our lists.

Frequently asked questions
What buyers ask us before ordering. If something is missing, ask for the sample and write the question in the form: a person replies.
Ask for your sample →How many bars and cafes are there in Italy?
It depends on the area. The only number we measured is Florence: 153 bars and cafes in a single run on 4 October 2026, which exhausted the map results for the city, after removing other categories. We do not publish a national total because we have not counted one. Before you order we tell you how many rows come out of your province.
What is the difference between a bar and a cafe in Italy?
In Italy a bar is first of all a coffee bar: espresso at the counter, breakfast, then drinks later in the day. On the map the same kind of venue is filed as «Bar», «Bar caffè», «Caffetteria» or «Caffè», which is why the list keeps all of them, while restaurants, pastry shops, bistros and cocktail bars stay out of the count unless you ask for them.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. Bars open, close and change hands often: the map status shows, row by row, who is marked as temporarily or permanently closed. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.
How many Italian bars in the list have an email?
The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the bar website, so coverage depends on how many have one. In the Florence sample, 90 bars and cafes out of 153 (59%) had a website to visit; for the others you get phone and address. The free sample shows the real percentage for your area.
Is it legal to contact these bars?
They are business contacts published by the businesses themselves; for B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest (recital 47). Commercial emails and SMS sent through automated systems need the recipient's prior consent (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code), except the soft-spam case of existing customers for similar products. Operator calls are allowed to numbers not listed in Italy's do-not-call register, the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni. With the file you become an independent controller.
Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?
CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the emails.
Can I get the bars and cafes of one province or one city?
Yes: the price starts at €290 and depends on how many businesses come out of the area you name. For bars it often pays to think in delivery rounds: you can name a radius in kilometres around your warehouse, a list of municipalities or the districts of a city. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.
API or finished file: which is better?
The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.
What guarantee is there on quality?
Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area free. After buying, every delivered field is guaranteed: a row with a wrong field, such as a non-existent email, is refunded. For phones this applies when the number does not exist or is invalid, not when nobody answers. With «phone only», the version of the list that contains only rows with a phone number, the phone is guaranteed. The reporting period is in the order.
