How to set up a proxy in Lalicat: add it, check it, fix the errors

Setting up a proxy in a Lalicat browser profile in four steps: generate a sticky line in the QuanticData endpoint generator, choose HTTP for port 8080 or SOCKS5 for port 1080 under proxy settings, fill the four fields with Paste proxy information, then Check the network for the green IP and location line and save; the card lists the three things to verify when no green line appears.

To add a proxy in Lalicat, open the profile window, set proxy settings to HTTP for port 8080 or SOCKS5 for port 1080, fill IP address, Port, Proxy Login Name and Proxy Login Password (Paste proxy information does it from one line), click Check the network and save. Give every profile its own sticky session.

Lalicat keeps each browser profile apart: its own fingerprint, its own cookies and, once you set one, its own proxy. Lalicat's own rule is one platform account, one proxy IP, one browser profile, and it sells no proxies of its own: the four values come from your provider. The field names below are the ones in the current Lalicat profile window, and the values come from the QuanticData endpoint generator.

What you need before you start

  • Lalicat installed on a Windows computer. It installs on Windows only (Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, per its download page), on a local machine, a virtual machine or a VPS. New accounts get a 3-day free trial.
  • A proxy plan. Residential Premium, ISP or mobile: all of them work in Lalicat. The sections further down cover each one.
  • The four values: host, port, username and password. In the QuanticData dashboard they are under My proxies, on the plan's page, in the Endpoint generator (Assigned IPs on an ISP plan).

The Lalicat proxy box, field by field

The proxy sits in the profile window, on the basic configuration tab, inside Basic Settings. Its fields, top to bottom:

FieldWhat goes in itQuanticData value
proxy settingsThe type: noproxy(Direct connection mode), HTTP, SOCKS4, SOCKS5 or HTTPSHTTP for port 8080, SOCKS5 for port 1080
IP addressThe proxy host; a hostname works tooresidentialpremium.quantumproxies.io
PortThe port that matches the type8080 or 1080
Proxy Login NameThe username, wholeUSER-country-hu-sid-p01-ttl-60m
Proxy Login PasswordThe passwordPASS

IP address and Port are required; the login and password are only left empty when the plan recognises your IP (IP whitelist). Next to the fields, the hint "Paste the proxy format: IP: port:Username:Password" belongs to the Paste proxy information button: copy a line in that order and the button fills the four fields at once. The generator's output format host:port:user:pass is the same order:

# the line to copy (output format host:port:user:pass)
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-hu-sid-p01-ttl-60m:PASS

# the same proxy on SOCKS5: choose SOCKS5 in proxy settings
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:1080:USER-country-hu-sid-p01-ttl-60m:PASS

The login is the whole username string, with everything after the first dash: -country-hu picks the exit country, -sid-p01 names the session and -ttl-60m keeps it for 60 minutes. A login cut at the first dash still authenticates, but the profile then leaves from a random country on a new IP at every request.

Step by step: add a proxy to a Lalicat profile

The QuanticData Endpoint generator for a Residential Premium plan: Hungary selected, Session set to Sticky with a 30-minute TTL, HTTP protocol, output format host:port:user:pass and the preview line with -country-hu-sid-, username and password blurred
Step 1 in the QuanticData dashboard: country, sticky session, protocol and format give the line to paste.
  1. Generate the line. In the QuanticData dashboard open My proxies, then your plan. In the Endpoint generator choose the Country (and a Region or City if the profile needs one), set Session to Sticky, set Session TTL (minutes) to at least the time the profile stays open, choose the Protocol and keep the Output format on host:port:user:pass. Copy the line from Preview.
  2. Open the profile window in Lalicat. In the Profile List click Add Browser Profile for a new profile, or Edit on an existing one. Stay on the basic configuration tab.
  3. Set proxy settings to the type that matches the port. HTTP for 8080, SOCKS5 for 1080.
  4. Click Paste proxy information. IP address, Port, Proxy Login Name and Proxy Login Password fill in from the copied line. If you prefer, type them one by one from the generator's Connection details.
  5. Click Check the network. A green line appears under proxy settings with the IP and its location (Lalicat's older versions call the button Check the Proxy). The country has to match the -country- in the login. Our check of a Hungary line on 23 October 2026 came back from Encs, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, time zone Europe/Budapest.
  6. Save, then Open the profile from the Profile List. Keep the other parameters on their defaults unless you know why you change them.

Make the profile match the proxy's country

A proxy in Hungary with a browser that says New York time and English (US) is easy to spot. Lalicat can take these values from the proxy's IP, and its documentation recommends it:

  • Start to set time zone based on IP: the profile's time zone follows the exit IP, Europe/Budapest for the line above.
  • Set language based on IP, next to Accept-Language: the browser language follows the country of the IP.
  • Fill geographic location based on IP address, in the Fingerprint configuration tab under Geolocation: the location a site can ask for follows the IP.

One sticky session per profile

An antidetect profile is meant to look like one person on one connection. A rotating proxy changes IP on every request, which is fine for scraping and wrong for a profile that logs in. A sticky session keeps one IP for as long as the session lives, and the session lives in the username, so the profile's fields never have to change once they are saved.

# profile 1: Hungary, one session for a working day
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-hu-sid-p01-ttl-480m:PASS

# profile 2: same plan, its own session (never reuse p01)
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-hu-sid-p02-ttl-480m:PASS

# profile 3: open all day
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-hu-sid-p03-ttl-1440m:PASS
  • A different session ID in every profile. Two profiles on the same line share one IP, which is exactly what Lalicat's one account, one IP, one profile rule is there to avoid.
  • A lifetime longer than the work. The generator accepts up to 1440 minutes, a full day. When the session ends, the next request gets a new IP, and a site can see that as a new login location.
  • The country in the login. Without -country- the exit can be anywhere, and the time zone taken from the IP will move with it.

With Session set to Sticky, the generator makes as many lines as the Quantity field says, ten by default, each with its own session ID; Copy all or Download takes them out in the same format. One line per profile.

Residential Premium, ISP and mobile proxies in Lalicat

Proxy typeIn LalicatGood for
Residential PremiumHTTP 8080 or SOCKS5 1080; one sticky line per profile; country, region, city or ISP in the loginMost profiles: home IPs in the country you choose
ISPA fixed IP from Assigned IPs in IP address, its port, the plan's login; one IP per profileLong-lived accounts that should keep the same address for months
MobileHTTP 8080 or SOCKS5 1080; -type-mobile in the login; Global, USA, EU or Asia gateway; IP whitelist availablePhone-first platforms and accounts tied to mobile networks

Residential Premium

Everything above is Residential Premium: one sticky line per profile, with the country in the login and the session ID changed from profile to profile. For a new IP on a profile, generate a line with a new session ID (-sid-p02 instead of -sid-p01), edit the profile and paste it; the old line keeps working until its lifetime ends. Username and password are the only authentication on this network.

ISP proxies

An ISP plan gives fixed IPs. They are listed on the plan's page under Assigned IPs; set Protocol to HTTP / HTTPS and Output format to IP:Port:Username:Password, then copy one line per profile. In Lalicat choose HTTP, click Paste proxy information and check: the IP address field holds the fixed IP, and the profile keeps that address for as long as the plan runs. ISP IPs are static by design, so there is no session ID to change.

Mobile proxies

Mobile lines go in exactly like Residential Premium, with -type-mobile in the login: in the generator of the mobile plan choose the gateway (Global, USA, EU or Asia), Sticky and the protocol, HTTP 8080 or SOCKS5 1080. In Lalicat the type must match: SOCKS5 with 1080 in the example below. Mobile plans also offer IP whitelist authentication: add your computer's IP, take the host:port list and leave Proxy Login Name and Proxy Login Password empty in Lalicat. For a new mobile IP, use a new session ID. See also mobile proxies for antidetect browsers.

For why each profile needs its own address, see residential proxies for antidetect browsers. The plans themselves are on the pages for QuanticData residential proxies, ISP proxies and QuanticData mobile proxies.

Changing the proxy of an existing profile, and many profiles at once

  • One profile. In the Profile List click Edit on the profile, or the small aircraft icon under Open, change the fields and save. Lalicat applies the change at the next start: close the profile if it is running and open it again.
  • Many profiles. In the profile window, Batch Creation creates several profiles with the same settings. They then share one line, so edit each one and give it its own session ID in Proxy Login Name, or paste its own line from the generator's list.

Lalicat proxy not working: errors and fixes

When the proxy works, Check the network shows a green line with the IP and its location. No green line means the check did not get through the proxy. These are the cases behind it, in the order to check.

The IP changes in the middle of a sessionThe session lifetime ended, or two profiles share one session IDA longer -ttl- and a different -sid- in every profile

One test outside the browser settles most cases in a minute. If this returns an address in the right country, the proxy works and the problem is in the profile's fields:

curl -x http://residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080 \
  -U "USER-country-hu-sid-test-ttl-10m:PASS" https://ipinfo.io/json

If the same command fails on your network but works from another one, a firewall or your provider is blocking the connection to the proxy port.

HTTP or SOCKS5 in Lalicat

Both work for browsing, and every QuanticData network offers both. HTTP on port 8080 is the simpler choice and the one to start with. SOCKS5 on port 1080 passes any kind of connection, not only web pages; the details are on the page for SOCKS5 proxies. SOCKS4 and HTTPS stay unused with our plans, and noproxy(Direct connection mode) means the profile uses your own IP. What breaks a profile is never the choice itself, only a type that does not match its port.

Before you run accounts

A proxy changes where a profile's traffic comes from, not what the profile is allowed to do. Keep to each platform's terms and to the law where you work, and use one profile, one session and one identity per account.

Quick answers on lalicat proxy setup.

Something else? Ask us

How do I add a proxy in Lalicat?

Open the profile window with Add Browser Profile (or Edit on an existing profile) and stay on the basic configuration tab. Set proxy settings to HTTP for port 8080 or SOCKS5 for port 1080, copy the line from the QuanticData generator and click Paste proxy information, then click Check the network. When the green line with the IP and its location appears, save the profile and open it.

What proxy format does Lalicat accept?

Lalicat has separate fields: IP address, Port, Proxy Login Name and Proxy Login Password. Its Paste proxy information button reads one line in the order IP:port:Username:Password, which is the same order as the generator's host:port:user:pass output. The IP address field also takes a hostname such as residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io.

Why does Check the network show no green line in Lalicat?

The check could not get through the proxy. The usual causes are a type that does not match the port (HTTP needs 8080, SOCKS5 needs 1080 on QuanticData), a login cut or pasted with a space, or a plan that expired or ran out of traffic. Test the same values with curl outside Lalicat: if curl works, fix the profile's fields; if it fails, check the plan or your network.

Does Lalicat work with mobile proxies?

Yes. A mobile proxy goes in like any other: HTTP 8080 or SOCKS5 1080, one sticky line per profile, with -type-mobile and a session ID in the login. Mobile plans also offer IP whitelist authentication, in which case Proxy Login Name and Proxy Login Password stay empty. A new session ID gives a new mobile IP.

Can I use Lalicat on Android?

No. Lalicat installs on Windows only; it can make a profile look like an Android or iPhone browser, but it runs on the computer and cannot be installed on a phone. To use a proxy on an Android phone you need a proxy app on the phone itself, set up with the same host, port, username and password.

Is Lalicat free?

Lalicat gives new accounts a 3-day free trial; after that it runs on paid plans, listed on Lalicat's pricing page. The proxy is separate and comes from your proxy provider: Lalicat does not sell proxies.

Can two Lalicat profiles share one proxy?

They can, but they should not: Lalicat's own rule is one platform account, one proxy IP and one browser profile. Give each profile its own session ID in the login. The QuanticData generator makes many sticky lines at once, ten by default, each with its own session.

One sticky IP for every Lalicat profile
