What this list of plumbers in Italy is
It is the list of the plumbers in an Italian area — heating and plumbing companies (termoidraulici), boiler and air conditioning installers, emergency call-out tradesmen — with business name, operating address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
In a big city many listings present themselves as emergency call-out (pronto intervento), others as boiler servicing or system installation. They are all plumbers, but they buy different things: website and opening hours help you keep only the ones you care about.
How we counted it: in Rome (Roma) the search «idraulico» returned 203 listings; 31 were other categories (plumbing supply shops, hardware stores, heating system suppliers, bathroom furniture) and we removed them: that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. 172 plumbers remain, in a single run on 1 October 2026: it is not a census of the city. 165 out of 172 had a phone, 106 out of 172 a website.
The fields you get on every row
These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. The enrichment fields (email, social profiles, website status) are filled only for the businesses with a reachable website.

How we build the list
Five choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.
The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.
The operating address, not only the registered office
The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.
Source and date for every field
Next to phone, website and email you see where the value came from and the day we read it.
Measured coverage
Every list says how many rows really have a phone, a website or an email, counted and not estimated. On this page, in Rome: phone 96% (165 of 172), website 62% (106 of 172). Email coverage is measured in the sample from your area.
Every month, only the changes
With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.
How the list is built
From the map to the file, step by step
Five steps, always the same. They are the same public collectors you find in the API: if you prefer, you can run them yourself.
1. Extraction from the map
The google_maps_places collector sweeps the area you name with the search «idraulico» and collects every listing: name, category, address, phone, website, rating and reviews. It is the source that covers both the companies with an operating address and the emergency call-out services.
2. National directories for the craftsmen
The business_directory collector goes over the same area on the Italian national directories (Pagine Gialle and Pagine Bianche). It is there for the plumbers who work alone and by word of mouth, and have a thin listing on the map or none at all. The two sources complete each other, they do not replace each other.
3. Deduplication on name and street
We normalise business name and address (abbreviations, punctuation, company forms) and merge the listings that describe the same company. One row is left, but the «source» column keeps track of where it appeared.
4. Enrichment from the website
The local_business_leads collector visits the website of each business and extracts the published emails, other phone numbers, social profiles and the website status. The emails do not come from a purchased archive: they come from the business's own website, and we know from which page.
5. «Active» flag and delivery
From the date of the last review and the website status we derive the active / doubtful / no flag, then export to CSV or XLSX with the source on every row. Supply shops, hardware stores and showrooms stay out, unless you want them in a separate sheet; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES.

Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: business name, operating address, published number, website and the emails the company publishes on its own website. No data on the customers who call for a repair, no private contacts, no personal profiles bought from third parties.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. Many plumbers are sole-trader craft businesses: we flag them in a separate column, because for them the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent or for one-to-one contacts. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you. Before any calling campaign the numbers must be screened against the do-not-call register; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES before delivery.

What is a plumber called in Italy?
An idraulico. Companies that also install and service heating systems and boilers call themselves termoidraulici, and many listings in big cities say pronto intervento, emergency call-out. The list includes all of them. Plumbing supply shops (forniture idrauliche), hardware stores (ferramenta) and bathroom showrooms are a different trade and stay out unless you ask for them.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. The date-of-last-review column tells you, row by row, whether the plumbers still have clients writing about them. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.
Is there a list of plumbers in Italy with email addresses?
Yes, where the plumber publishes one. The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the business website, so coverage depends on how many have one. In the Rome sample, 106 plumbers out of 172 (62%) had a website to visit. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay, and we do not promise an email on every row.
Is it legal to contact Italian plumbers by email under GDPR?
They are business contacts published by the companies themselves, and for B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest under recital 47; sole traders are flagged separately. Email is the stricter channel: in Italy automated commercial email needs prior consent, even to businesses. When you receive the file you become an independent controller and, before calling, you must screen the numbers against Italy's do-not-call register.
Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?
CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the emails and social profiles.
Can I get the plumbers of one Italian city or province, with supply shops separate?
Yes to both. One province starts at €290, and you can also name a radius in kilometres or a list of municipalities. Plumbing supply shops and hardware stores stay out by default; if you sell to them too, we deliver them in a separate sheet. There is no national package you have to buy whole.
API or finished file: which is better?
The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.
What guarantee is there on quality?
Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area for free. After buying, every field we deliver is guaranteed: if a field is wrong, for example an email that does not exist, that row is refunded. For phones the refund applies when the number does not exist or is not valid, not when nobody answers, because a phone that is switched off cannot be verified.
