What this list of Italian boatyards is
It is the list of the boatyards and shipyards in an Italian area (yacht and boat builders, refit and maintenance yards, boat repair workshops and, where the listing says so, boat storage), with business name, yard address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
Whoever looks for a list of Italian shipyards mostly finds lists of boat brands and rankings of the big yachting groups: they help you choose a boat. Our file is for something else: for whoever sells to yards (components, paints, systems, subcontracted work, services) and needs the yard address, the phone, the website and the emails in a table.
The numbers on this page are for La Spezia: the «cantiere nautico» search of 4 October 2026 exhausted the map results and returned 42 listings; 13 belonged to other categories (marinas, boat manufacturers, marine accessories and outboard dealers, brokers, yacht clubs) and we took them out, because that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. That leaves 29 yards: 27 listed as «Shipyard», one boat repair workshop and one boat storage. 23 are in La Spezia, many along viale San Bartolomeo, the others in Lerici, Le Grazie and Arcola.

The sector from the listing, not the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing; listings of other categories stay out.
Operating address confirmed
The column says «yes» when the map listing and the national directory listing give the same address; otherwise it says which of the two sources gives it.
No duplicates, not even across orders
Listings of the same business become one row, and a business you already received in an earlier order does not reach you again.
The contacts you already have stay out
If you upload a file of your contacts to the dashboard (emails, phones, websites or VAT numbers), those businesses stay out of the list and are not charged.
Date read on every row
The «Checked on» column is the day we read the sources of that row; «Directory listing» and «Map listing» link to the pages it comes from.
Emails read on the website, with their type
The email is the one the business publishes on its own website, with its type: generic, personal or certified (PEC). We deliver only emails whose domain has a mail server (MX check): the others stay empty and are not charged as rows with an email.
Phones in international format
Every number is written as +39 followed by the number, with a second phone when the business publishes two.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.

Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: business name, yard address, published number, website and the emails the yard publishes on its own website. No owner or client data, no private contacts, no personal profiles bought from third parties.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. Small repair yards are sometimes sole traders: for them the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent, or for the cases where the law does not require it, such as existing customers for similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you.

Where are the Italian shipyards located?
They cluster in a few coastal districts, and the file shows it with the municipality and province of every row. In La Spezia 23 of the 29 yards measured have a city address, many on the same harbour road, the others in Lerici, Le Grazie and Arcola. That is why it pays to pick the municipalities of a gulf or a stretch of coast.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. Yards merge, change group and open new local units: the status on the map (hours shown, temporarily or permanently closed) tells you, row by row, who is still operating.
How many Italian boatyards in the list have an email?
The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the yard website, so coverage depends on how many have a website. In La Spezia 20 yards out of 29 (69%) had a website to visit, and 25 a published phone. In the free sample you see how many rows have an email before you pay.
Is it legal to contact boatyards in Italy?
They are business contacts published by the businesses themselves. For B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest under recital 47. Whoever receives the file becomes an independent controller.
