20 free rows · the source written on every row · not a replacement for the professional register: built for those who sell to studios
What this list of architecture firms in Italy is
It is the list of architecture firms in an Italian area — associated studios, sole practitioners, interior design and design studios — with name, studio address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
It is not the professional register. People who search for a list of architects with a city name often want to check a professional: for that there are the Albo unico nazionale of the CNAPPC, the national council of architects, planners, landscape architects and conservators, and the registers of the provincial associations, all free to search. This file lists the studios as they present themselves to the public, and it is for those who sell them products and services.
How we counted: in Florence (Firenze) the map search was «studio di architettura», not «architetto». It returned 173 listings; 45 belonged to other categories (universities, interior designers, geometri, the Italian building surveyors) and we removed them: that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. 128 studios are left, in a run that stopped before covering the whole city: there are at least that many.
The fields you get on every row
These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. The enrichment fields (email, social profiles, website status) are filled only for the businesses with a reachable website.
| Field | Type | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| Studio name | text | The name the studio uses with the public, often with the surname of the owner or the partners, cleaned of duplicates. |
| Category | text | The category declared on the listing: it separates the architecture firms from the universities, interior designers and geometri that the search brings in. |
| Address | text | Street and number of the studio, the place where the work happens and where samples are received. |
| City, province and postcode | text | Three separate columns in the file, so you can split the list by sales territory without reworking it. |
| Phone | text | The number published on the listing, normalised to international format; mobiles stay separate from the studio landlines. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni). |
| Website | URL | The studio domain. In Florence 107 studios out of 128 had one: it is the source of the emails and often of the portfolio too. |
| Email found on the website | text | The emails published on the business website, read from the site itself during enrichment. More than one when there are several. |
| Social profiles | URL | Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook linked from the website: many studios publish their latest projects there. |
| Rating and reviews | number | Average star rating and number of reviews on the listing, where there are any. Studios have few: the website and social profiles count for more. |
| Date of last review | date | When someone last wrote a review: the most honest signal that the business is still trading. |
| Active | yes / doubtful / no | Flag computed from the date of the last review and the website status. «Doubtful» means to be checked, not to be thrown away. |
| Operating address confirmed | yes / no | It is yes when the map and the national directory show the same address. It keeps your catalogues from going to the professional's home. |
| Coordinates | number | Latitude and longitude of the studio: a sales agent uses them to plan the visits in an area. |
| Source per row | text | Google Maps, national directory or both: every row says where it comes from. On request we add the VAT number where the register shows it, checked on VIES. |
How we build the list
Five choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.
The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.
The operating address, not only the registered office
The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.
Source and date for every field
Next to phone, website and email you see where the value came from and the day we read it.
Measured coverage
Every list says how many rows really have a phone, a website or an email, counted and not estimated. On this page, in Florence: phone 90% (115 of 128), website 84% (107 of 128). Email coverage is measured in the sample from your area.
Every month, only the changes
With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.
How the list is built
From the map to the file, step by step
Five steps, always the same. They are the same public collectors you find in the API: if you prefer, you can run them yourself.
1. Extraction from the map
The google_maps_places collector sweeps the area you name with the search «studio di architettura» and collects every listing: name, category, address, phone, website, rating and reviews. It is the source that covers the studios with an office open to the public.
2. National directories for the sole practitioners
The business_directory collector goes over the same area on the Italian national directories (Pagine Gialle and Pagine Bianche). It brings in the architects who work alone, often without a well-kept map listing. The two sources complete each other, they do not replace each other.
3. Deduplication on name and street
An associated studio often appears under its own name and under the names of the partners. We normalise name and address and merge the listings that describe the same studio: one row is left, and the «source» column keeps track of where each listing appeared.
4. Enrichment from the website
The local_business_leads collector visits the website of each business and extracts the published emails, other phone numbers, social profiles and the website status. The emails do not come from a purchased archive: they come from the business's own website, and we know from which page.
5. «Active» flag and delivery
From the date of the last review and the website status we derive the active / doubtful / no flag, then export to CSV or XLSX with the source on every row. Universities, interior designers and the other nearby categories stay out, unless you want them in a separate sheet; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES.

10 rows out of 128 studios extracted in Florence (Firenze) with the search «studio di architettura»; phones and emails are masked on this page. The run stopped before covering the whole city, so there are at least 128 studios. Measured on 2026-10-01 in a single run; the counts refer to the city named, not to the whole of Italy.

Pricing
What it costs
Two ways. The self-service API if you want to rebuild the list yourself whenever you need it, the finished file if you only want to open the CSV and start. Prices are always «from»: they depend on how many businesses come out of the area you name.
local_business_leads collector, $2 of free credit every month, failed extractions not chargedThe API price is per row delivered: failed extractions are not charged and rows with neither phone nor website are not counted. Prices of the finished files exclude VAT.
Who buys a list of architecture companies in Italy
Not people looking for an architect for their own home: companies that sell to studios, which choose and specify products for their clients.
Furniture and lighting
Studios choose the products for their projects: the list by province serves the agents and showrooms that want to get into their proposals.
Tiles, ceramics and window frames
Whoever wants to get into the specifications starts from the studios of the area, with the email read on their website and the address where to leave samples.
BIM, CAD and rendering software
Licences and training: the studio website tells you how large it is and what kind of projects it works on.
Training for professional credits
Architects on the register have to earn continuing-education credits: course and event organisers build the list region by region.
Professional indemnity brokers
Professional indemnity insurance is compulsory for practising architects: the right contact is the studio, not the home address.
Photographers and rendering services
They work on commission from studios: the social profiles linked from the website show who publishes their projects and how often.
A bought list versus a list built on request
The six differences buyers tell us about after trying an archive file.
| Bought list | This list | |
|---|---|---|
| Freshness | A static file: usually it does not say when it was collected. | Extracted the day you order it; on request it comes back every month with the changes only. |
| Source per row | One big pool, with no way to know where each contact comes from. | Every row states the source: map, national directory or both. |
| Address | Often the registered office or the professional's home. | The studio address, with the «confirmed» flag when the two sources agree. |
| Origin of the emails | Origin not declared, often inherited from other lists. | Emails read on the studio website, with the page they come from. |
| Closed businesses | No signal: you find out on the phone that the studio has closed or merged with another. | Active / doubtful / no flag and date of the last review on every row. |
| Pricing model | A package to buy whole, often national. | 20 free rows, then from $0.01 per lead through the API or from €290 per province. |
Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: business name, operating address, published number, website and the emails the studio publishes on its own website. No data on the studios' clients, no private contacts, no personal profiles bought from third parties.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. Many architects practise as self-employed professionals: we flag them in a separate column, because for them the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent or for one-to-one contacts. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you. Before any calling campaign the numbers must be screened against the do-not-call register; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES before delivery.
On the profession: the Albo unico nazionale of architects and the registers of the provincial associations are public and free, and that is where an architect's registration is checked. Our file does not replace them and certifies no registration: it is for those who sell to studios, with studio address, phone, website and email.
If your business is in one of our lists and you want it out, the business name and the contact detail to remove are enough: remove your business from our lists.
Sources and standards: Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni (Italian do-not-call register) · Garante Privacy — telemarketing and unwanted calls · GDPR, recital 47 — legitimate interest · VIES — VAT number check, European Commission
Frequently asked questions
What buyers ask us before ordering. If something is missing, ask for the sample and write the question in the form: a person replies.
Ask for your sample →How many architects are there in Italy?
We have not counted a national total, so we do not publish one, and our number counts studios on the map, not architects on the register: two different counts. The only figure we measured is Florence: searching «studio di architettura» and keeping only the architecture categories, at least 128 studios on 1 October 2026, in a run that stopped before covering the whole city.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. The date-of-last-review column tells you, row by row, whether the studio still has clients writing about it. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.
Can I get architects' email addresses in Italy?
Where the studio publishes them, yes. The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the business website, so coverage depends on how many studios have a website. In the Florence sample, 107 studios out of 128 (84%) had a website to visit. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay, and we do not promise an email on every row.
Does the list cover small studios, not just the famous firms?
Yes. It is not a ranking of well-known firms: it is every studio the map and the national directories show in the area, from associated studios to architects working alone. The national directories are the source that brings in the sole practitioners without a well-kept map listing. In the 10 Florence rows, limited companies, associated studios and individual architects sit side by side.
Is it legal to email architecture firms in Italy?
They are professional contacts published by the studios themselves. For B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest under recital 47, and self-employed architects are flagged separately. You become an independent controller and, before calling, must screen the numbers against Italy's do-not-call register; automated email needs prior consent. Registration is checked for free on the Albo unico nazionale: the file does not certify it.
Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?
CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the emails and social profiles.
Can I buy just one province or one city?
Yes, and it is the most requested cut: one province starts at €290. You can also name a radius in kilometres, a list of municipalities or the districts where the studios are concentrated. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.
API or finished file: which is better?
The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.
What guarantee is there on quality?
Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area for free. After buying, every field we deliver is guaranteed: if a field is wrong, for example an email that does not exist, that row is refunded. For phones the refund applies when the number does not exist or is not valid, not when nobody answers, because a phone that is switched off cannot be verified. The guarantee covers the fields of the list you bought (with «phone only», the phone) and the period to report a row is stated in the order.
Can I import the list into my CRM?
Yes. The file arrives as CSV and XLSX with one column per field (name, phone, email, operating address, website), so the list of architecture firms loads through the contact import of HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo and monday CRM, or opens in Excel and Google Sheets. With the API the rows reach your systems without a file.
Want to see 20 architecture firms from your area?
Tell us the city or the province: we send you 20 complete rows within one business day, with no account and no card.
