What this list of Italian private schools is
It is the list of the non-state schools in an Italian area that the map classifies as private, Catholic, religious, Montessori or international, with school name, campus address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
It is not the register of «paritarie» schools, the private schools recognised by the state. That status is set by the Italian Ministry of Education, which publishes the register as open data (the latest release, for 2026/27, has data as of 1 September 2026). Google has no «paritaria» category: our count takes the schools the map marks as private or faith-based, recognised or not. It is for whoever sells to schools, not for checking a recognition.
The numbers on this page are for Rome: the «scuola paritaria» search of 4 October 2026 returned 179 unique listings; 108 had generic categories (general education, primary, nursery school, educational institution) that do not say whether a school is state or private, and we kept them out. That leaves at least 71 schools.
The fields you get on every row
These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and email type are read on each business’s own website, so they are filled only for the businesses with a reachable website.
| Field | Type | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| Business | text | The name the business shows on its public listing. |
| Category | text | The category the listing shows today. Listings of other categories are left out. |
| Address, postcode, comune and province | text | The operating address, where the business works and answers, in separate columns so you can split the list by area. |
| Phone and Phone 2 | text | The published numbers, in international format. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni). |
| Email and email type | text | The email the business publishes on its own website, with its type: generic, personal or certified (PEC). Empty when we did not find one. |
| Website | URL | The business domain when we find it on the listing; empty when we do not. |
| Operating address check | yes / no | Yes when the map listing and the national directory listing show the same address. |
| Status on the map | text | Hours shown, temporarily closed or permanently closed, as the listing shows it on the day we read it. |
| Rating and number of reviews | number | The average rating and the review count of the listing: an order of magnitude of the client volume. |
| Directory and map listing | URL | The two public pages the row comes from: the source of every value, open to check. |
| Checked on | date | The day we read the sources for that row. |
| Row ID | text | A stable code, so the same business does not reach you twice across orders. |
How we build the list
Four choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.
The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.
The operating address, not only the registered office
The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.
Source and date on every row
Every row carries the links to the two public listings it comes from and the day we read it.
Every month, only the changes
With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.

Who buys a list of private schools in Italy
Not families choosing a school: companies that sell to schools and need the campus, the school office and the website.
Educational publishing and teaching materials
Books, learning aids and lab kits: offered area by area, starting from each school’s office.
School furniture and classroom technology
Desks, interactive whiteboards and labs: rating and review volume help gauge the size of the school.
School office and fee software
Registers, enrolments and fee payments: the schools with a website are the ones ready for a demo.
School catering
Canteens and delivered meals: a local service, sold with the campus address and a radius in kilometres.
Teacher training
Refresher courses and certifications: the list is built by province and filtered on the schools still running.
School transport and insurance
Minibuses, policies for pupils and staff: what counts is the school office’s direct phone, not the managing body’s.
Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: business name, operating address, published number, website and the emails the business publishes on its own website. No consumer data, no private contacts, no pupil, family or teacher data, no personal profiles bought from third parties.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. For sole traders the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case. Whether a school is a recognised «paritaria» is checked on the register published by the Italian Ministry of Education: our file does not certify it.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent, or for the cases where the law does not require it, such as existing customers for similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you.
If your business is in one of our lists and you want it out, the business name and the contact detail to remove are enough: remove your business from our lists.

Frequently asked questions
What buyers ask us before ordering. If something is missing, ask for the sample and write the question in the form: a person replies.
Ask for your sample →How many private schools are there in the list?
It depends on the area. In Rome we measured at least 71 private schools in a single run on 4 October 2026. The count takes the schools the map marks as private or faith-based: it does not match the Ministry register of recognised schools and it is not a national total.
Is this the Ministry list of recognised paritarie schools?
No. The official list of «paritarie» schools is the register published by the Italian Ministry of Education as open data, and that is where the status is checked. Our file is built from the map and the national directories for whoever sells to schools, with campus, phone, website and email. On request we match the rows against the Ministry register.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. The status on the map (hours shown, temporarily or permanently closed) tells you, row by row, which schools are still running: openings and closures follow the school year. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.
How many private schools in the list have an email?
The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the business website, so coverage depends on how many have a website. In the Rome sample, 67 schools out of 71 (94%) had a website to visit; for the others you get phone and address. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay.
Is it legal to contact these private schools?
They are institutional contacts published by the schools themselves, with no pupil, family or teacher data. Whoever receives the file becomes an independent controller. Commercial emails and SMS sent with automated systems need the recipient’s prior consent (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code), except for existing customers offered similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy’s do-not-call register.
Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?
CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the published emails.
Can I buy just one province or one city?
Yes: the price starts at €290 and depends on how many businesses come out of the area you name. You can also name a list of municipalities, a city district or a radius in kilometres. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.
API or finished file: which is better?
The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.
What guarantee is there on quality?
Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area for free. After buying, every field we deliver is guaranteed: if it is wrong, for example an email that does not exist, that row is refunded. For phones the refund applies when the number does not exist or is not valid, not when nobody answers. The period to report a row is stated in the order.
