What this list of Italian printing companies is

It is the list of the print shops in an Italian area (digital printers, offset print works, commercial printers and digital printing services), with business name, workshop address, phone, website and the emails published on that website. It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.

Searches for a list of printers in Italy mostly return directory pages city by city, useful to get business cards printed near home. This file is for whoever sells to printers: paper and media suppliers, press makers and dealers, technical service, software. That is why the workshop where the presses run, the phone and the website matter, not the shop window.

The numbers on this page are for Milan: the «tipografia» search of 4 October 2026 returned 172 listings; 47 belonged to other categories and we took them out, starting with 26 copy shops, then stationers, screen printers, bookbinders and agencies. That leaves at least 125 print shops.

The fields you get on every row

These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and email type are read on each business’s own website, so they are filled only for the businesses with a reachable website.

FieldTypeWhat it contains
BusinesstextThe name the business shows on its public listing.
CategorytextThe category the listing shows today. Listings of other categories are left out.
Address, postcode, comune and provincetextThe operating address, where the business works and answers, in separate columns so you can split the list by area.
Phone and Phone 2textThe published numbers, in international format. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni).
Email and email typetextThe email the business publishes on its own website, with its type: generic, personal or certified (PEC). Empty when we did not find one.
WebsiteURLThe business domain when we find it on the listing; empty when we do not.
Operating address checkyes / noYes when the map listing and the national directory listing show the same address.
Status on the maptextHours shown, temporarily closed or permanently closed, as the listing shows it on the day we read it.
Rating and number of reviewsnumberThe average rating and the review count of the listing: an order of magnitude of the client volume.
Directory and map listingURLThe two public pages the row comes from: the source of every value, open to check.
Checked ondateThe day we read the sources for that row.
Row IDtextA stable code, so the same business does not reach you twice across orders.

How we build the list

Four choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.

The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code

A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.

The operating address, not only the registered office

The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.

Source and date on every row

Every row carries the links to the two public listings it comes from and the day we read it.

Every month, only the changes

With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.

Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.

Who buys a list of print shops in Italy

Not someone who needs flyers printed: companies that sell to printers and need the workshop where the presses run.

Paper, board and print media

A recurring purchase sold by territory: it needs full coverage of the province with the workshop’s direct phone.

Printing and finishing equipment

Digital, offset, plotters, cutting and binding: the category separates the commercial printer from the small digital workshop.

Inks, toner and consumables

Supplies reordered every month: start from the workshops still trading, filtered on the map status.

Technical service and maintenance

Service contracts by area: postcode and municipality draw the technician’s round and the call-out radius.

Web-to-print and management software

Online quotes, orders and production: the print shops with a website are the ones ready for a demo.

Print brokers and agencies

Whoever resells print looks for nearby workshops to place jobs with: category and address make the first filter.

How many print shops are there in the list?

It depends on the area. The only number we measured is Milan: at least 125 print shops in a single run on 4 October 2026. We do not publish a national total because we have not counted one. Before you order we tell you how many rows come out of your province.

Are copy shops included?

Not by default. In Milan the «tipografia» search brought in 26 copy shops, which we removed from the count together with stationers, screen printers and bookbinders: that is what the category column in the file is for. If you sell to copy shops too, we send them on a separate sheet with the same columns.

How up to date is the data?

It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. Print shops change hands and close often: the status on the map (hours shown, temporarily or permanently closed) tells you, row by row, who is still trading. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.

How many Italian print shops in the list have an email?

The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the business website, so coverage depends on how many have a website. In the Milan sample, 95 print shops out of 125 (76%) had a website to visit; for the others you get phone and address. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay.

Is it legal to contact these print shops?

They are business contacts published by the businesses themselves. For B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest under recital 47. Whoever receives the file becomes an independent controller. Commercial emails and SMS sent with automated systems need the recipient’s prior consent (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code), except for existing customers offered similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy’s do-not-call register.

Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?

CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the published emails.

Can I buy just one province or one city?

Yes: the price starts at €290 and depends on how many businesses come out of the area you name. You can also name a radius in kilometres, a list of municipalities or an industrial zone. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.

API or finished file: which is better?

The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.

What guarantee is there on quality?

Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area for free. After buying, every field we deliver is guaranteed: if it is wrong, for example an email that does not exist, that row is refunded. For phones the refund applies when the number does not exist or is not valid, not when nobody answers. The period to report a row is stated in the order.
