What this list of pharmacies in Italy is, and who it is for
It is the list of pharmacies in an Italian area (private, municipal and chain) with name, address, phone, website, opening hours when the listing gives them, and the emails published on the website. It is for companies that sell to pharmacies: parapharmaceutical and dermocosmetics companies, sales agents, suppliers of fittings, software and services. It is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.
If you only need to know which pharmacies exist, you do not need our file. Italy's Ministry of Health publishes, free of charge in its open data, the list of pharmacies open to the public, in CSV, JSON and XML; the Ordini dei farmacisti (the pharmacists' professional bodies) keep the national register of members. They are the right source to know which pharmacies exist and to check a registration. Our file brings what sales work needs (emails read from the website, social profiles, reviews, date of the last review, opening hours), and the source on every row lets you cross-check it against the official list.
A detail you can already see in the 10 rows below: two pharmacies with different names point to the same chain domain, and one is municipal. The domain helps you separate independent pharmacies, where the owner decides, from group pharmacies, where purchasing may go through a head office. In Turin the map search returned 224 listings; 12 were other categories (associations, a bistro, an office, a parapharmacy) and we removed them: in the file the category column is there for exactly this. The run stopped before covering the whole city, so there are at least 212 pharmacies.
The fields you get for every pharmacy
These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and social profiles are filled only for the pharmacies with a reachable website; opening hours and coordinates when the listing gives them.
| Field | Type | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| Pharmacy name | text | The name the pharmacy uses with the public, including the number when it is a municipal pharmacy. |
| Category | text | The listing category and the secondary ones: it separates pharmacies from parapharmacies and from the nearby businesses that show up in the same area. |
| Address | text | Street and number of the outlet, the counter where the sales agent calls. |
| City, province and postcode | text | Three separate columns: you can cut the list by province, by municipality or by the territory of an ASL (local health authority). |
| Phone | text | The counter's number published on the listing, normalised to international format. In Turin it was there for 207 pharmacies out of 212. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni). |
| Website | URL | The domain linked to the listing. When several pharmacies share the same domain, they belong to a group or to a municipal company. |
| Email found on the website | text | The emails published on the pharmacy's website, read during enrichment. More than one when there are several. |
| Social profiles | URL | Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn linked from the website: they show which pharmacies tell their customers about promotions and services. |
| Opening hours | text | The hours on the listing when there are any, including the night service if the pharmacy declares it: they tell you when to call and when to visit. |
| Coordinates | lat / lon | Latitude and longitude of the outlet: for planning the sales agents' rounds and working out distances. |
| Rating and reviews | number | Average star rating and number of reviews: an order of magnitude of the footfall at the counter. |
| Date of last review | date | When someone last wrote a review: useful to spot dormant listings or outlets that have moved. |
| Operating address confirmed | yes / no | It is yes when the map and the national directory show the same address. |
| Source per row | text | Google Maps, national directory or both: it is the column that lets you cross-check the file against the official list. VAT number checked on VIES on request. |
How we build the list
Five choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.
The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code
A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.
The operating address, not only the registered office
The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.
Source and date for every field
Next to phone, website and email you see where the value came from and the day we read it.
Measured coverage
Every list says how many rows really have a phone, a website or an email, counted and not estimated. On this page, in Turin: phone 98% (207 of 212), website 74% (156 of 212). Email coverage is measured in the sample from your area.
Every month, only the changes
With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.
Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: remove your business from our lists.
How the list is built
From the map to the file, step by step
Five steps, always the same. They are the same public collectors you find in the API: if you prefer, you can run them yourself.
1. Extraction from the map
The google_maps_places collector sweeps the area you name and collects every pharmacy listing: name, category, address, phone, website, opening hours, coordinates, rating and reviews.
2. National directories as a second source
The business_directory collector goes over the same area on Pagine Gialle and Pagine Bianche. It confirms the address of the outlet and recovers the listings missing from the map.
3. Deduplication on name and street
We normalise name and address (numbers of the municipal pharmacies, abbreviations, company forms) and merge the listings that describe the same pharmacy. One row is left, with the source recorded.
4. Enrichment from the website
The local_business_leads collector visits the website of each pharmacy and extracts the published emails, other numbers and the social profiles. The emails come from the website, not from a purchased archive, and we know from which page.
5. Check and delivery
We export to CSV or XLSX with the source on every row, ready to be cross-checked against the official list. On request we check the VAT numbers on VIES before delivery.

Pricing
What it costs
Two ways. The self-service API if you want to rebuild the list yourself whenever you need it, the finished file if you only want to open the CSV and start. Prices are always «from»: they depend on how many businesses come out of the area you name.
local_business_leads collector, $2 of free credit every month, failed extractions not chargedThe API price is per row delivered: failed extractions are not charged and rows with neither phone nor website are not counted. Prices of the finished files exclude VAT.
Who needs a pharmacy contact list for Italy
Not people looking for the duty pharmacy: companies that sell to pharmacies and need the counter's phone, the website and an email to write to.
Parapharmaceutical, supplement and dermocosmetics companies
The pharmacy channel is worked through sales agents and reps: you need full coverage of the area, with the domain separating the independents from the groups.
Sales agent networks
The round is built on postcodes and coordinates, and the opening hours on the listing tell you when to call in.
Pharmacy fittings and shopfitting
Counters, shelving, window displays: a project offered to independent pharmacies, where the owner decides.
Management software and automated dispensing
Counter software and dispensing robots: the pharmacies with the most reviews are a good hint of high volumes.
Devices for pharmacy services
Holter monitors, ECG machines, rapid tests: whoever sells equipment for in-pharmacy services starts from the pharmacies that have a website and keep it updated.
Medical supplies and orthopaedics
Compression stockings, braces, blood pressure monitors: recurring reorders, sold by area with the counter's phone.
Italy's official pharmacy list and this database
They are not alternatives: one says which pharmacies are authorised, the other how to contact them to sell.
| Official list | This database | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Knowing which pharmacies are open to the public, including branches and dispensaries. | Contacting the pharmacies of an area to offer products or services. |
| Who publishes it | Italy's Ministry of Health, in its open data. | We do, extracted on request from the map and the national directories. |
| Format | CSV, JSON and XML. | CSV and XLSX, JSON on request, with the source on every row. |
| Cost | Free. | 20 free rows, then from $0.01 per lead through the API or from €290 per province. |
| What this database adds | It is the registry baseline: you start from here. | Emails read from the website with the page they come from, social profiles, rating, reviews, date of the last review, opening hours and group domain. |
| Using them together | The source to start from for authorisation. | The source on every row, to cross-check it against the official list and keep only the pharmacies you need. |
Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you
The list contains business contacts only: pharmacy name, outlet address, published number, website and the emails the pharmacy publishes on its own website. No patient or customer data, no private contacts, no personal profiles bought from third parties. The Ministry of Health's list of pharmacies and the register of pharmacists are public and free, and they remain the source to know which pharmacies exist and to check a registration: our file is for companies that sell to pharmacies and does not replace them.
For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in recital 47. Pharmacies registered to a natural person are flagged in a separate column, because for them the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.
Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy. Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent or for one-to-one contacts. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.
When you receive the file you become an independent controller of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you. Before any calling campaign the numbers must be screened against the do-not-call register; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES before delivery.
If your business is in one of our lists and you want it out, the business name and the contact detail to remove are enough: remove your business from our lists.
Sources and standards: Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni (Italian do-not-call register) · Garante Privacy — telemarketing and unwanted calls · GDPR, recital 47 — legitimate interest · VIES — VAT number check, European Commission
Frequently asked questions
What buyers ask us before ordering. If something is missing, ask for the sample and write the question in the form: a person replies.
Ask for your sample →How many pharmacies are there in Italy, and why is the official list not enough?
We have not counted a national total, so we do not publish one. The only number we measured is Turin: at least 212 pharmacies in a single run on 1 October 2026, stopped before covering the whole city. If you only need to know which pharmacies are open, the Ministry of Health's open-data list is free and enough; if you need to contact them to sell, ours brings emails from the website, social profiles, reviews and opening hours.
Does the list include parapharmacies (parafarmacie)?
Not as pharmacies. Every row carries the listing category, which separates pharmacies from parapharmacies and from the other businesses the map returns in the same area. In Turin the map search returned 224 listings; 12 were other categories, a parapharmacy among them, and we removed them, which left at least 212 pharmacies. The category column is there for exactly this kind of cut.
How up to date is the data?
It is current to the day of extraction, because the database is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. The date of the last review tells you, row by row, how recently someone visited the pharmacy. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.
How many pharmacies have an email address?
We read the emails on the pharmacy's website, so coverage depends on how many pharmacies have one. In Turin 156 pharmacies out of 212 (74%) had a website to visit, and 207 out of 212 (98%) had a phone. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay.
Is it legal to write to pharmacies in Italy to offer products?
They are business contacts published by the pharmacies themselves. For B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest under recital 47, and pharmacies registered to a natural person are flagged separately. When you receive the file you become an independent controller and, before calling, you must screen the numbers against Italy's do-not-call register. Automated email needs prior consent in Italy.
Is there a free pharmacies in Italy email list?
Yes, to start with: 20 complete rows from the area you name are free, with no account and no card. They come from the same extraction as the paid list, so you see the real email and phone coverage of your area. The full province is paid, from €290.
Can I download the pharmacy list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?
CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because the website of every pharmacy has to be visited one by one to read the emails and social profiles.
Can I get the pharmacies of just one province or one ASL?
Yes. One province starts at €290, and you can also name a list of municipalities: that way you cut out the territory of an ASL (local health authority) or the area of a sales agent. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.
API or finished file: which is better?
The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.
What guarantee is there on quality?
Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area for free. After buying, every field we deliver is guaranteed: if a field is wrong, for example an email that does not exist, that row is refunded. For phones the refund applies when the number does not exist or is not valid, not when nobody answers, because a phone that is switched off cannot be verified. The guarantee covers the fields of the list you bought (with «phone only», the phone) and the period to report a row is stated in the order.
Can I import the pharmacy database into my CRM?
Yes. The database arrives as CSV and XLSX with one column per field, so it loads through the contact import of HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo and monday CRM, or opens in Excel and Google Sheets. With the API the rows go straight into your systems, without a file.
Want to see 20 pharmacies from your area?
Tell us the city, the province or the municipalities of the ASL: we send you 20 complete rows within one business day, with no account and no card.
