The country goes in the username. Everything else about the gateway stays the same, so switching markets is a string change, not a new integration.

Verify with the proxy tester: the response from ipinfo.io should show a Italian ISP and "country": "IT". For a city, generate strings with the dashboard or POST /v1/public/proxies/generate with country and city.

What Italian IPs are used for

• Localized prices and availability. Amazon.it, Subito, Idealista and Immobiliare show different prices, stock and delivery options by region; a Italy exit returns what a Italian shopper sees.
• Search results as a local user. Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo results differ by country; the SERP API takes country: "it" and routes through the same pool.
• Ad and content verification. Confirm geo-targeted campaigns and localized pages from inside the market.
• Lead lists and market research. Business listings, reviews and job postings from Italy directories, without the geo wall.

Rotating or sticky

Rotating gives every request a fresh Italian IP and is right for one-shot page fetches. Sticky keeps one IP for a session of up to 120 minutes and is right for multi-step flows such as search, click, detail, cart. Residential Basic runs from $1.00/GB on the $5 trial bundle down to $0.80/GB, Premium from $4.00/GB down to $2.20/GB, datacenter from $0.80/GB down to $0.50/GB, ISP from $3.80 down to $2.50 per IP per 30 days, mobile from $5.00/GB down to $2.30/GB.
