SERP API · Google Reviews

Google reviews API

The reviews of one place on Google Maps, returned as JSON and sortable by newest: rating, date, text, author, photos and the owner's response. This is the SERP API with search_type: "reviews" and the place's data_id, page after page, not just the handful the official API returns. You pay per search.

A Google reviews call for one place by data_id, sorted by newest: a review list in the middle with the first review's stars, age and author marked, and the real reviews_results[0] JSON: rating 5, a day ago, the author masked, text null. $0.0009 per search, whatever the tier.
The reviews of one Google Maps place as JSON, newest first, at $0.0009 per search.

Example

One request, one JSON answer.

curl -X POST https://api.quanticdata.io/v1/scraper/serp \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"search_type":"reviews","data_id":"0x89c24a35537f404b:0x2ba28a40618be10b","country":"us","sort_by":"newest"}'

import requests

r = requests.post("https://api.quanticdata.io/v1/scraper/serp",

for rv in r.json()["payload"]["reviews_results"]:
    print(rv["iso_date"], rv["rating"], (rv["text"] or "")[:80])

}
The first review of the real answer to this request, 30 October 2026 (long URLs shortened).

The answer is the usual envelope: payload.reviews_results holds the list above, payload.search_metadata says which tier answered and how long it took.

Parameters

Which place, in which order.

Request parameters for search_type: reviews
ParameterMeaning
data_idThe place (feature id 0x…:0x…), from the places vertical
sort_bynewest, or Google's default order
countryProxy exit and Google locale (gl), ISO code: us, gb, de, it…
langInterface language (hl): en, de, it…
devicedesktop (default), mobile, ios or android

Every parameter, for every vertical, is in the API reference.

Price

Per search, nothing monthly.

Every successful search costs $0.0009, whatever the tier. In our test on 30 October 2026 the call answered in 1.46 seconds.

Failed searches are not charged. There is no subscription: a $2 free credit every month covers the first calls, then you top up your balance by card, PayPal or crypto.

If you would rather pay per review than per search, the Place reviews collector returns the same data at $0.001 per delivered review (up to 100 per run), with no pagination to handle.

Every price per search and per vertical: SERP API pricing.

Official API or this one

The official Places API returns at most five reviews.

Google's Place Details in the Places API returns up to five reviews per place, inside a billed Maps Platform project.

This endpoint pages through the reviews Google Maps shows for the place, newest first if you ask, billed per successful search.

Use cases

What teams build with it.

Reputation monitoring: new reviews of your locations every day, with the rating and the text.

Competitor analysis: what customers praise and complain about, at scale, across a chain.

Review response workflows: which reviews still have no owner response.

Before you call it

Questions developers ask

How many reviews can I get?

All the reviews Google Maps shows for the place, page by page; the official Places API stops at five.

Where do I find the data_id?

In each result of the places vertical; it identifies the place on Google Maps.

Can I get only new reviews?

Yes: sort_by newest, then stop when you reach a review_id you already have.

Are author names included?

Yes, as Google shows them. Treat them as personal data: use and store them under the rules that apply to you.

What does a call cost?

$0.0009 per successful search, any page. The place reviews collector bills per review instead.

Start with the free credit.

Create an API key, run the example above and read the JSON. Pay per search after the $2 monthly credit, no subscription.
