## What this list of veterinary clinics in Italy is

**It is the list of veterinary facilities in an Italian area — outpatient practices, veterinary clinics, single-vet surgeries and home-visit vets — with business name, operating address, phone, website and the emails published on that website.** It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.

**It is not the professional register.** People who search for a list of vets with a city name often want to know whether a vet is licensed: for that there is the register of the profession (albo), free to search on the FNOVI website, the national federation of veterinary associations, by provincial association. This file does something else: it serves companies that sell to clinics and need the address where animals are seen, the reception phone number and the website to read the emails from.

How we counted: in **Genoa (Genova)** the search «veterinario» on the map returned 155 listings; 58 belonged to other categories (mostly pharmacies, 26, then doctors and pet shops) and we removed them: that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. 97 vets are left, from a single run on 1 October 2026: it is not a census of the city.

## The fields you get on every row

These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. The enrichment fields (email, social profiles, website status) are filled only for the businesses with a reachable website.

| Field | Type | What it contains |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Business name | text | The name of the practice, the clinic or the vet as it appears on the listing, cleaned of duplicates. |
| Category | text | The category declared on the listing. It is the column that separates the clinics from the pharmacies and the other businesses the search brings in. |
| Address | text | Street and number of the **operating address**, the place where animals are actually seen. |
| City, province and postcode | text | Three separate columns in the file, so you can split the list by sales territory without reworking it. |
| Phone | text | The number published on the listing, normalised to international format; mobiles stay separate from landlines. Before a calling campaign the numbers must be screened against Italy's do-not-call register (Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni). |
| Website | URL | The domain of the facility. When the column is empty the clinic has no website: in Genoa that was the case for 43 of 97. |
| Email found on the website | text | The emails published on the business website, read from the site itself during enrichment. More than one when there are several. |
| Social profiles | URL | Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn linked from the website: useful when the phone line is busy with appointments. |
| Opening hours | text | The opening hours when the listing shows them: they separate those who see animals by appointment only from those open in the evening or at weekends. |
| Rating and reviews | number | Average star rating and number of reviews on the listing, where there are any: an order of magnitude of the facility's client base. |
| Date of last review | date | When someone last wrote a review: the most honest signal that the business is still trading. |
| Active | yes / doubtful / no | Flag computed from the date of the last review and the website status. «Doubtful» means to be checked, not to be thrown away. |
| Operating address confirmed | yes / no | It is **yes** when the map and the national directory show the same address. It is the field that keeps your samples and price lists from going to the registered office. |
| Source per row | text | Google Maps, national directory or both: every row says where it comes from. On request we add the VAT number where the register shows it, checked on VIES. |

## How we build the list

Five choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.

### The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code

A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.

### The operating address, not only the registered office

The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.

### Source and date for every field

Next to phone, website and email you see where the value came from and the day we read it.

### Measured coverage

Every list says how many rows really have a phone, a website or an email, counted and not estimated. On this page, in Genoa: phone 94% (91 of 97), website 56% (54 of 97). Email coverage is measured in the sample from your area.

### Every month, only the changes

With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.

Before a calling campaign, Italian numbers must be screened against the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register. A business that finds itself in a list can ask to be removed: [remove your business from our lists](https://quanticdata.io/leads/removal/).

How the list is built

## From the map to the file, step by step

Five steps, always the same. They are the same public collectors you find in the API: if you prefer, you can run them yourself.

### 1. Extraction from the map

The `google_maps_places` collector sweeps the area you name with the search «veterinario» and collects every listing: name, category, address, phone, website, rating and reviews. It is the source that covers practices and clinics with a sign on the street.

### 2. National directories for the single vets

The `business_directory` collector goes over the same area on the Italian national directories (Pagine Gialle and Pagine Bianche). It brings in the vets who work alone or do home visits and pay little attention to their map listing. The two sources complete each other, they do not replace each other.

### 3. Deduplication on name and street

The same vet can appear under their own name and under the name of the clinic where they work. We normalise business name and address and merge the listings that describe the same place: one row is left, but the «source» column keeps track of where it appeared.

### 4. Enrichment from the website

The `local_business_leads` collector visits the website of each business and extracts the published emails, other phone numbers, social profiles and the website status. The emails do not come from a purchased archive: they come from the business's own website, and we know from which page.

### 5. «Active» flag and delivery

From the date of the last review and the website status we derive the active / doubtful / no flag, then export to CSV or XLSX with the source on every row. Pharmacies and the other categories the search brings in stay out, unless you want them in a separate sheet; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES.

Pricing

## What it costs

Two ways. The self-service API if you want to rebuild the list yourself whenever you need it, the finished file if you only want to open the CSV and start. Prices are always «from»: they depend on how many businesses come out of the area you name.

**Free sample**20 rows*from the area you name, within one business day*

**Self-service API**from $0.01 per lead*`local_business_leads` collector, $2 of free credit every month, failed extractions not charged*

**One province**from €290*every business in the sector, enriched, CSV/XLSX, source per row*

**All of Italy**quote within 24 h*by region or nationwide; monthly refresh with the changes only from €390/month*

The API price is per row delivered: failed extractions are not charged and rows with neither phone nor website are not counted. Prices of the finished files exclude VAT.

## Who buys a list of veterinary clinics in Italy

Not pet owners: companies that sell to vet clinics and need the address where animals are seen, not the registered office.

### Pet food and veterinary diet distributors

Prescription diets go through the clinic: you need full coverage of the area, with the address where animals are seen and the reception phone.

### Veterinary pharmaceutical companies

Sales-rep networks work by province: the list has to be split by area, filtered on active facilities, with pharmacies removed or kept as a separate channel.

### Diagnostic equipment

Ultrasound, radiology, analysers: rating and number of reviews help tell a structured clinic from a vet working alone.

### Practice management software

Clinical records, scheduling and vaccination reminders: 43 of the 97 Genoa facilities had no website, and they are the first to offer online booking too.

### Veterinary diagnostic laboratories

Sample pick-up and report delivery: a local service, sold with the real address and a radius in kilometres.

### Pet cremation services

Services that work through agreements with the clinics of the area: what counts is the facility's direct phone, not the registered office.

## A bought list versus a list built on request

The six differences buyers tell us about after trying an archive file.

| | Bought list | This list |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Freshness | A static file: usually it does not say when it was collected. | Extracted the day you order it; on request it comes back every month with the changes only. |
| Source per row | One big pool, with no way to know where each contact comes from. | Every row states the source: map, national directory or both. |
| Address | Often the **registered office** or the vet's home: the samples never reach the clinic. | The **operating address** where animals are seen, with the «confirmed» flag when the two sources agree. |
| Origin of the emails | Origin not declared, often inherited from other lists. | Emails read on the clinic website, with the page they come from. |
| Closed businesses | No signal: you find out by calling. | Active / doubtful / no flag and date of the last review on every row. |
| Pricing model | A package to buy whole, often national. | 20 free rows, then from $0.01 per lead through the API or from €290 per province. |

## Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you

The list contains **business contacts only**: business name, operating address, published number, website and the emails the facility publishes on its own website. No data on pet owners, no private contacts, no personal profiles bought from third parties.

For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in [recital 47](https://gdpr-info.eu/recitals/no-47/). Many vets work as self-employed professionals or sole traders: we flag them in a separate column, because for them the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.

**Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy.** Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent or for one-to-one contacts. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.

When you receive the file you become an **independent controller** of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you. Before any calling campaign the numbers must be screened against the do-not-call register; on request we check the VAT numbers on VIES before delivery.

On the profession: the register of veterinary surgeons (albo) exists and is free to search on the FNOVI website, by provincial association, and that is where a vet's registration is checked. Our file does not replace it and certifies no registration: it is for those who sell to veterinary facilities, with operating address, phone, website and email.

If your business is in one of our lists and you want it out, the business name and the contact detail to remove are enough: [remove your business from our lists](https://quanticdata.io/leads/removal/).

## Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask us before ordering. If something is missing, ask for the sample and write the question in the form: a person replies.

[Ask for your sample →](/datasets/italy/veterinary-clinics/#sample)

### How many veterinary clinics are there in Italy?

We have not counted a national total, so we do not publish one. The only number we measured is Genoa: 97 vets in a single run on 1 October 2026, after removing the pharmacies and other categories that the search «veterinario» brings in. Before you order we tell you how many rows come out of your province, and the free sample comes from that same area.

### How up to date is the data?

It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. The date-of-last-review column tells you, row by row, whether the clinic still has clients writing about it. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.

### Can I get the email addresses of Italian vet clinics?

Where the clinic publishes them, yes. The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the business website, so coverage depends on how many clinics have a website. In the Genoa sample, 54 vets out of 97 (56%) had a website to visit. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay, and we do not promise an email on every row.

### Is this the official register of vets in Italy?

No. The register of the profession (albo) is public and free to search on the FNOVI website, by provincial association, and that is where you check that a vet is licensed. Our file does not replace it and does not certify any registration: it is a B2B list for companies that sell to veterinary facilities, with operating address, phone, website and email.

### Is it legal to contact veterinary clinics in Italy?

They are business contacts published by the facilities themselves. For B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest under recital 47, and self-employed vets are flagged separately. When you receive the file you become an independent controller and, before calling, you must screen the numbers against Italy's do-not-call register. Automated email needs prior consent in Italy.

### Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?

CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the emails and social profiles.

### Can I get vet clinics in one province only, and the pharmacies separately?

Yes to both. One province starts at €290, and you can also name a radius in kilometres or a list of municipalities. Pharmacies are left out by default; if you sell to them too, we give them to you in a separate sheet. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.

### API or finished file: which is better?

The API makes sense if you have someone to integrate it and you want to rebuild the list yourself: you pay from $0.01 per lead and get $2 of free credit every month. The finished file makes sense if you need a province already deduplicated, enriched and checked, without writing a line of code.

### What guarantee is there on quality?

Before buying you get 20 real rows from your area for free. After buying, every field we deliver is guaranteed: if a field is wrong, for example an email that does not exist, that row is refunded. For phones the refund applies when the number does not exist or is not valid, not when nobody answers, because a phone that is switched off cannot be verified. The guarantee covers the fields of the list you bought (with «phone only», the phone) and the period to report a row is stated in the order.

### Can I import the list into my CRM?

Yes. The file arrives as CSV and XLSX with one column per field (name, phone, email, operating address, website), so the list of veterinary clinics loads through the contact import of HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo and monday CRM, or opens in Excel and Google Sheets. With the API the rows reach your systems without a file.

## Want to see 20 vet clinics from your area?

Tell us the city or the province: we send you 20 complete rows within one business day, with no account and no card.
