## What this list of Italian nurseries is

**It is the list of the nurseries in an Italian area (the daycare centres for ages 0 to 3 whose map category is «Asilo nido»), with name, address, phone, website and the emails published on that website.** It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.

Whoever searches for a list of nurseries in Italy is usually a family, and finds the lists published by municipalities and regions: Rome, for example, publishes its list of early-years services for ages 0 to 3 with the places open for enrolment. Those are the right source to choose a nursery or check an accreditation. This file is for something else: for whoever sells to nurseries and needs address, phone, website and email.

The numbers on this page are for **Turin**: the «asilo nido» search of 4 October 2026 returned 160 listings; 58 had other categories, mostly generic «Asilo», nursery schools for ages 3 to 6 and state schools, and we took them out. **Preschools (scuole dell’infanzia) are not in the count**: on request we add them on a separate sheet. That leaves at least 102 nurseries.

These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and email type are read on each business’s own website, so they are filled only for the businesses with a reachable website.

### The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code

A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.

### The operating address, not only the registered office

The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.

### Source and date on every row

Every row carries the links to the two public listings it comes from and the day we read it.

### Every month, only the changes

With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.

## Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you

The list contains **business contacts only**: business name, operating address, published number, website and the emails the business publishes on its own website. No consumer data, no private contacts, no data on children, families or staff, no personal profiles bought from third parties.

For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in [recital 47](https://gdpr-info.eu/recitals/no-47/). For sole traders the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case. The lists of authorised and accredited nurseries remain those published by municipalities and regions: our file does not replace them.

**Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy.** Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent, or for the cases where the law does not require it, such as existing customers for similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.

When you receive the file you become an **independent controller** of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you.

### How many nurseries are there in the list?

It depends on the area. The only number we measured is Turin: at least 102 nurseries in a single run on 4 October 2026. We count only the «Asilo nido» category, without preschools. We do not publish a national total because we have not counted one: before you order we tell you how many rows come out of your province.

### Are preschools and municipal nurseries included?

Preschools are not: in Turin we removed 13 of them together with generic «Asilo» listings, and we supply them on request on a separate sheet. Municipal nurseries are in when they have an «Asilo nido» listing on the map, but the category does not separate public from private: for that, the municipal and regional lists apply.

### How up to date is the data?

It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. Among private nurseries, openings, closures and changes of operator follow the school year: the status on the map (hours shown, temporarily or permanently closed) tells you, row by row, who is open. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.

### How many Italian nurseries in the list have an email?

The emails do not come from an archive: we read them on the business website, so coverage depends on how many have a website. In the Turin sample, 72 nurseries out of 102 (71%) had a website to visit; for the others you get phone and address. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay.

### Is it legal to contact these nurseries?

They are facility contacts published by the nurseries themselves, with no data on children, families or staff. Whoever receives the file becomes an independent controller. Commercial emails and SMS sent with automated systems need the recipient’s prior consent (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code), except for existing customers offered similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy’s do-not-call register.

### Can I download the list as CSV or Excel, and how fast?

CSV and XLSX, with the source on every row; JSON on request. The 20-row sample arrives within one business day. A full province usually takes one or two business days, because every website has to be visited one by one to read the published emails.
