**A list of gyms and fitness centres in Italy with email, phone, website and the address of the club where people train.** It is not a membership comparison site: it is the file for whoever sells to gyms. ## What this list of Italian gyms is

**It is the list of the gyms in an Italian area (gyms, fitness centres, functional training boxes and training studios), with business name, club address, phone, website and the emails published on that website.** It is not an archive to download: it is extracted when you order it, so the collection date is the delivery date.

Whoever looks for a list of gyms in Italy mostly finds the gyms that accept a public voucher or a membership platform, and rankings of the best-looking clubs. Our file is for something else: for whoever sells to gyms and needs every gym in an area, chains and independents, with phone, website and email.

The numbers on this page are for **Milan**: the «palestra» search of 4 October 2026 returned 176 listings; 36 belonged to other categories and we took them out, because that is exactly what the category column in the file is for. That leaves 140 gyms and fitness centres. Next to the chains there are many amateur sports associations, recognisable by the A.S.D. in their name.

## The fields you get on every row

These are the columns of the CSV or XLSX. Email and website appear only on the rows of businesses that publish them.

## How we build the list

Four choices that decide how many right rows end up in the file.

### The sector from the listing, not from the ATECO code

A company picks its ATECO activity code when it registers and often never updates it when the business changes. We take the category the business shows today on its public listing, on Google Maps and on the Italian national directories.

### The operating address, not only the registered office

The address is where the business works and answers the phone, not the registered office in the company register, which is sometimes only an administrative address.

### Source and date on every row

Every row carries the links to the two public listings it comes from and the day we read it.

### Every month, only the changes

With the monthly refresh you receive new openings, closures and changed contact details, not the whole list again.

## Compliance: what is in the file and what is up to you

The list contains **business contacts only**: business name, operating address, published number, website and the emails the gym publishes on its own website. No consumer data, no private contacts, no member data, no personal profiles bought from third parties.

For business-to-business contact the legal basis is legitimate interest, which the GDPR names explicitly for direct marketing in [recital 47](https://gdpr-info.eu/recitals/no-47/). For sole traders and self-employed professionals the contact detail counts as personal data and the processing has to be assessed case by case.

**Email, SMS and automated messages need consent in Italy.** Sending commercial communications through automated systems requires the recipient's prior consent, even when the recipient is a company or a professional (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code): the email column is for whoever already has that consent, or for the cases where the law does not require it, such as existing customers for similar products. Calls with a live operator are allowed only to numbers not listed in the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni, Italy's do-not-call register.

When you receive the file you become an **independent controller** of the data: privacy notice, record of processing and replies to data subjects' requests are up to you.

### How many gyms are there in the list?

It depends on the area. The only number we measured is Milan: at least 140 gyms and fitness centres in a single run on 4 October 2026, after removing 36 listings of other categories. We do not publish a national total because we have not counted one: before you order we tell you how many rows come out of your province.

### Where do the gym emails come from?

We read them on each gym's own website; we do not take them from an archive, so coverage depends on how many have a website. In Milan 134 gyms out of 140 (96%) had one, and 139 out of 140 (99%) had a published phone number. In the free sample you see the real percentage for your area before you pay.

### Does the list include chains and sports associations?

Yes. It counts listings whose category is gym, fitness centre or gymnastics centre: chain clubs, independent gyms and amateur sports associations. Each chain club is a row of its own, with its own address. Yoga and pilates studios and swimming pools stay out of the count, but can be added on request.

### How up to date is the data?

It is current to the day of extraction, because the list is generated when you order it instead of being pulled from an archive. The map status shows, row by row, who is marked as temporarily or permanently closed. On request we rebuild the file every month and deliver only the changes.

### Is it legal to contact these gyms?

They are business contacts published by the businesses themselves; for B2B the GDPR allows legitimate interest (recital 47). Commercial emails and SMS sent through automated systems need the recipient's prior consent (art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code), except the soft-spam case of existing customers for similar products. Operator calls are allowed to numbers not listed in Italy's do-not-call register, the Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni. With the file you become an independent controller.

### Can I get a list of gyms for one province or city?

Yes: the price starts at €290 and depends on how many businesses come out of the area you name. In the large cities it often pays to think by district: you can name a radius in kilometres, a list of municipalities or postcodes. There is no national package you have to buy whole before you can get your area.

### API or finished file: which is better?

### What guarantee is there on quality?

With «phone only», the version of the list that contains only rows with a phone number, the phone is guaranteed. The reporting period is in the order.
