To add a proxy in MBBrowser, open Create New Session, choose HTTP or SOCKS5 under Proxy Server to match the port, fill in the address, port, Account and Password, click Test until it says Success, then Create Session. Give each session its own sticky line. Below: every field, Residential Premium, ISP and mobile lines, bulk import and each error.

MBBrowser, the antidetect browser its own documentation also calls Migratory Bird, gives every browser environment, a session in its English interface, its own fingerprint, cookies and proxy. It runs on Windows 7 or later and, as its site says, does not provide proxy IPs itself: the proxy comes from your provider. One detail sets it apart from other antidetect browsers. The Test button does more than check the connection: it also sets the session's time zone, country and language from the IP the proxy returns, so the IP you test with is the IP the session is built around. The field names below are MBBrowser's own; the values come from the QuanticData endpoint generator.

## What you need before you start

- **MBBrowser installed on Windows, with an account and a plan.** Its download page lists Windows 7 and later, 32 or 64 bit; there is no free version, and its FAQ says a trial is opened through its customer service.
- **A proxy plan.** Residential Premium, ISP or mobile: all of them work in MBBrowser. The table further down says which one fits which session.
- **The four values:** host, port, username and password. In the QuanticData dashboard they are under My proxies, on the plan's page, in the Endpoint generator.

**Try it on your own targets.** Every QuanticData account gets $2 of free API usage per month.

## The Proxy Server fields in MBBrowser

The proxy lives in one row of the Create New Session window, under the label Proxy Server. MBBrowser does not read a single line there by default: it splits the proxy into its parts.

| Field in MBBrowser | What goes in | QuanticData Residential Premium |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Type (first drop-down) | No Proxy, HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5; SSH since version 7.12 | HTTP for port 8080, SOCKS5 for port 1080 |
| Address (second field) | The proxy's host name or IP | `residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io` |
| Port (after the colon) | The port of that type | 8080 or 1080 |
| Account (upper small field) | The username | `USER-country-my-sid-p01-ttl-60m` |
| Password (lower small field) | The password | `PASS` |
| Test (blue button) | Checks the proxy and matches the fingerprint to it | Success in green |

MBBrowser's FAQ says Account and Password are optional and are filled in only when the proxy has them. QuanticData Residential Premium always authenticates with username and password, so both are needed; only a mobile plan with IP whitelist leaves them empty. Since version 6.9.29.198 of March 2025 the panel also takes a whole proxy string in one paste: a host:port:user:pass line from the generator can go in at once, and it is worth checking that every value landed in its own field before you click Test.

The Account is the whole username string, with everything after the first dash: `-country-my` picks the exit country (Malaysia here), `-sid-p01` names the session and `-ttl-60m` keeps it for 60 minutes. A username cut at the first dash still authenticates, but the session then leaves from a random country on a new IP at every request.

## Step by step: add a proxy to an MBBrowser session

![The QuanticData Endpoint generator for a Residential Premium plan: Malaysia selected, Session set to Sticky with a 30-minute TTL, HTTP protocol, output format host:port:user:pass and the preview line, with the username and password blurred](https://quanticdata.io/blog/mbbrowser-proxy-setup/quanticdata-generator-malaysia-sticky-line.webp)

*Step 1 in the QuanticData dashboard: country, sticky session, protocol and format give the values for MBBrowser.*

1. **Generate the line.** In the QuanticData dashboard open My proxies, then your plan. In the Endpoint generator choose the Country (and a Region or City if the session needs one), set Session to Sticky, set Session TTL (minutes) to at least the time the session stays open, choose the Protocol and keep the Output format on host:port:user:pass. Connection details shows the same values one by one: host, port, username, password.
2. **Open the session window.** On MBBrowser's main panel click Create New Session at the bottom left, or right-click an existing session and choose Modify.
3. **Name the session** in Session Name and set Group, OS, Resolution and UserAgent as you need them.
4. **Pick the type under Proxy Server.** HTTP for port 8080, SOCKS5 for port 1080. MBBrowser's FAQ puts it simply: select the type of the proxy you bought.
5. **Fill in address, port, Account and Password.** The host in the address field, the port after the colon, the whole username in Account, the password below it.
6. **Click Test.** MBBrowser shows Success in green. With Proxy IP auto check ticked, PublicIP takes the IP of the proxy, and TimeZone Setting, Country and Language under FingerPrint follow that IP. The country has to match the `-country-` in the Account.
7. **Keep WebRTC fingerprint on.** MBBrowser's own getting-started guide sets WebRTC to take the proxy IP automatically. Its FAQ suggests turning WebRTC fingerprint off only for dynamic IPs that change at every start, which a sticky line does not do.
8. **Click Create Session, then Run.** The session opens with the proxy, the time zone and the language it was tested with.

![The Proxy Server block of the MBBrowser Create New Session window with seven numbered steps beside it: type HTTP, address residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io and port 8080, Account USER-country-my-sid-p01-ttl-60m and Password, Test with Success in green, the PublicIP of the proxy, the time zone Asia/Kuala_Lumpur with country MY, then Create Session](https://quanticdata.io/blog/mbbrowser-proxy-setup/mbbrowser-create-session-proxy.webp)

## Why each MBBrowser session needs its own sticky line

An antidetect session is meant to look like one person on one connection, and in MBBrowser the time zone, country and language are taken from the IP at the moment you click Test. A rotating line changes IP on every request, so the session can open from a different city than the one it was tested in. MBBrowser's FAQ describes exactly this with short-lived dynamic IPs: the time zone stays the one matched at the first check while the IP keeps changing, and it advises against them. A sticky session keeps one IP for as long as the session lives, and the session lives in the username, so the line never has to change once it is saved.

```
# session 1: Malaysia, one session for a working day
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-my-sid-p01-ttl-480m:PASS
# session 2: same plan, its own session (never reuse p01)
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-my-sid-p02-ttl-480m:PASS
# session 3: Malaysia, open all day
residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-my-sid-p03-ttl-1440m:PASS
```

Three rules cover almost every case:

- **A different session ID in every MBBrowser session.** MBBrowser does not stop two sessions from using the same proxy, but its FAQ advises one IP per account. Two sessions on one line share one IP.
- **A lifetime longer than the work.** The generator accepts up to 1440 minutes, a full day. When the session ends, the next request gets a new IP, and a site can see that as a new login location.
- **The country in the username.** Without `-country-` the exit can be anywhere, and the time zone MBBrowser matches at Test will be wherever the IP happened to be.

With Session set to Sticky, the generator makes as many lines as the Quantity field says, ten by default, each with its own session ID; Copy all or Download takes them out in the same format.

![The Generate 10 sessions button in the QuanticData Endpoint generator with Copy all and Download, and the list of sticky Malaysia lines ready to copy, credentials blurred](https://quanticdata.io/blog/mbbrowser-proxy-setup/quanticdata-generator-sessions-malaysia.webp)

*One line per MBBrowser session: every generated line has its own session ID.*

## Residential Premium, ISP and mobile proxies in MBBrowser

| Proxy type | In MBBrowser | Good for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Residential Premium | HTTP 8080 or SOCKS5 1080; one sticky line per session; country, region, city or ISP in the Account | Most sessions: home IPs in the country you choose |
| ISP | A fixed IP from Assigned IPs in the address field, port 50100 on HTTP; one IP per session | Long-lived accounts that should keep the same address for months |
| Mobile | `mobile.quantumproxies.io`, HTTP 8080 or SOCKS5 1080, -type-mobile in the Account; Global, USA, EU or Asia gateway; IP whitelist available | Phone-first platforms and accounts tied to mobile networks |

### Residential Premium

Everything above is a Residential Premium setup: the gateway `residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io`, the targeting and the session in the Account, HTTP on 8080 or SOCKS5 on 1080. Region, city or ISP targeting from the generator ends up in the same username, so MBBrowser needs nothing more than the four fields. For a wider view of why each profile needs its own address, see [residential proxies for antidetect browsers](https://quanticdata.io/residential-proxies/for/antidetect-browsers/); the plans are on the page for [QuanticData residential proxies](https://quanticdata.io/residential-proxies/).

### ISP proxies

In the dashboard, Proxy endpoints, Assigned IPs lists one fixed IP per line as IP:Port:Username:Password. Take one line per session: the IP goes in the address field, 50100 in the port, then Account and Password, with the type HTTP to match the HTTP / HTTPS protocol chosen there (the panel's Protocol switch changes the port in the list for SOCKS5). After Test, PublicIP shows the IP of the line itself, and it stays that IP for as long as the plan runs. More on the plans on the page for [ISP proxies](https://quanticdata.io/isp-proxies/).

*An ISP IP in a new session, before the Test. Redrawn screen with our values, IP masked.*

### Mobile proxies

A mobile line goes in like a Residential Premium one: `mobile.quantumproxies.io` in the address field, 8080 for HTTP or 1080 for SOCKS5, and a sticky username with `-type-mobile` in the Account, for example `USER-country-my-type-mobile-sid-m01-ttl-60m`. Choose the gateway in the generator, Global, USA, EU or Asia, before you copy the line. Mobile plans also offer IP whitelist authentication: add your computer's IP in the dashboard, take the host:port list and leave Account and Password empty in MBBrowser, as its FAQ allows. Plans and gateways are on the page for [QuanticData mobile proxies](https://quanticdata.io/mobile-proxies/).

## Many sessions at once: the Proxy Server Manager

For more than a handful of sessions, MBBrowser keeps a list of proxies in the Proxy Server Manager, opened from List, Proxy Server Manager on the main panel or from Add Proxy in the session window.

1. **Make the lines.** In the generator set Session to Sticky and the Quantity you need, generate, then Download.
2. **Write the import file.** MBBrowser reads a TXT file with one proxy per line in the order type:address:port:username:password (its import dialog lists a DNS type and a connection IP after them as optional). Put `http:` or `socks5:` in front of each generated line.
3. **Import and save.** Click Import Proxy, choose the file, click Batch import, then Save. The Add Proxy button of the manager adds one proxy at a time.
4. **Give each session one line.** In the session window click Add Proxy, tick one free line and click Add to Session: it fills Proxy Server. History Proxies, next to Add Proxy, lists proxies used before. Then click Test as usual.
5. **Assign to existing sessions.** List, Proxy Server Manager, Batch Specify Proxy to Session (or a right-click on the selected sessions, to change their proxy IP) assigns the list at random or in order, replacing the proxies those sessions had. MBBrowser recommends checking each session's configuration afterwards; a Test in each one also matches its time zone to the new IP.

```
# import file for MBBrowser: type:address:port:username:password, one per line
http:residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-my-sid-p01-ttl-1440m:PASS
http:residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080:USER-country-my-sid-p02-ttl-1440m:PASS
socks5:mobile.quantumproxies.io:1080:USER-country-my-type-mobile-sid-m01-ttl-60m:PASS
```

![The MBBrowser Proxy Server Manager with QuanticData lines imported from a text file: three Residential Premium sticky lines on port 8080, a mobile line on SOCKS5 1080 and two masked ISP IPs on port 50100, the Used session environment column showing which session holds each line and one free line ticked; numbered steps for Import Proxy, Save, the ticked line, Add to Session and one line per session](https://quanticdata.io/blog/mbbrowser-proxy-setup/mbbrowser-proxy-server-manager.webp)

*The Proxy Server Manager: the Used session environment column shows which session holds each line. Redrawn screen with our values.*

Batch Check Proxies, at the bottom of the manager, checks the whole list with the Timeout you set, and the Status report column shows the result.

## A new IP without touching the session's fingerprint

With Residential Premium and Mobile the IP is tied to the session ID in the Account. To move a session to a new IP, right-click it, choose Modify, change `-sid-p01` to a new value such as `-sid-p04`, click Test so the time zone, country and language follow the new IP, and save. Cookies and fingerprint stay with the session. ISP proxies are static addresses by design: one IP per session, for months.

## MBBrowser proxy not working: errors and fixes

MBBrowser shows a problem in three places: the Test does not say Success, the session opens but pages do not load, or, while you work, an alert reads Network Validation Failed. Since version 7.12 that alert is hidden by default (Suppress Network Validation Failure Alerts) and MBBrowser retries in the background; turning the option off shows every result while you set up a new proxy.

![The MBBrowser Proxy Server block where Test gives no Success because SOCKS5 is selected with port 8080; numbered markers on the type, the port and the Test button, and beside it the checks in order: address, port and Account copied whole, the plan active with traffic left, the network able to reach the proxy](https://quanticdata.io/blog/mbbrowser-proxy-setup/mbbrowser-test-no-success.webp)

*The most common mistake, SOCKS5 with port 8080, and the order of the checks. Redrawn screen.*

| What you see | Usual cause | Fix |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Test does not say Success | The type does not match the port: HTTP on 1080 or SOCKS5 on 8080 | HTTP with 8080, SOCKS5 with 1080 |
| The same, with the right type | The username was cut, a value landed in the wrong field, or a space came with the paste | Copy the values again from Connection details, one per field |
| Test fails on your network, curl works from another one | Your network cannot reach the proxy server | MBBrowser's Upstream Proxy (MBBridge) in Settings routes its traffic through your own VPN or exit proxy; the QuanticData line stays in the session, never in MBBridge |
| Test worked yesterday, fails today | The plan expired or its traffic is used up | Check the plan in My proxies: status, remaining traffic, expiry date |
| Wrong time zone or country | No `-country-` in the username, or a rotating line that changed IP after the Test | A sticky line with a country, then Test again |
| Test says Success, pages do not open in one session | Something in that session, not the proxy | As MBBrowser's FAQ suggests: test the same proxy in a new session; if it works, clone the old session and keep the clone |

One test outside the browser settles most cases in a minute. If this returns an address in the right country, the proxy works and the problem is in the session's fields:

```bash
curl -x http://residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io:8080 \
  -U "USER-country-my-sid-test-ttl-10m:PASS" https://ipinfo.io/json
```

## HTTP or SOCKS5 in MBBrowser

Both work for browsing, and every QuanticData network offers both. HTTP on port 8080 is the simpler choice and the one to start with. SOCKS5 on port 1080 passes any kind of connection, not only web pages; the details are on the page for [SOCKS5 proxies](https://quanticdata.io/socks5-proxies/). The other types in the list have other uses: HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS4A are for proxies that speak those protocols, and SSH, added in version 7.12, turns your own server into the exit. What breaks a session is never the choice itself, only a type that does not match its port.

## Before you run accounts

A proxy changes where a session's traffic comes from, not what the session is allowed to do. Keep to each platform's terms and to the law where you work, and use one session, one sticky line and one identity per account.

## FAQ

Quick answers on mbbrowser proxy.

[Something else? Ask us](mailto:hello@quanticdata.io)

### How do I add a proxy in MBBrowser?

Click Create New Session (or right-click a session and choose Modify). Under Proxy Server choose HTTP or SOCKS5 to match the port, fill in the address, the port, Account and Password, then click Test. When it says Success, the time zone, country and language follow the proxy's IP; click Create Session and Run.

### What proxy types does MBBrowser support?

The type list in the session window has No Proxy, HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A and SOCKS5, and version 7.12 added SSH for your own server. With QuanticData use HTTP on port 8080 or SOCKS5 on port 1080, on Residential Premium, mobile and ISP plans alike.

### Do I need to fill in Account and Password in MBBrowser?

Only when the proxy uses them, as MBBrowser's FAQ says. QuanticData Residential Premium always authenticates with a username and password, so both fields are needed, and the Account must be the whole username with the country and session in it. A mobile plan with IP whitelist leaves both empty.

### Why does the MBBrowser time zone not match the IP?

MBBrowser matches the time zone, country and language to the IP it sees when you click Test. If the line rotates, or its session expires, the IP changes afterwards and the time zone no longer fits. Use a sticky line with the country in the username and a session lifetime longer than your work, and click Test again after any change.

### Can two MBBrowser sessions share one proxy?

MBBrowser allows it, but its FAQ advises one IP per account, and two sessions on one sticky line leave from the same IP. Give each session its own session ID in the username: the QuanticData generator makes many sticky lines at once, ten by default, each with its own session.

### Does the QuanticData proxy go into MBBrowser's Upstream Proxy (MBBridge)?

No. MBBridge, in Settings, Upstream Proxy, is for routing MBBrowser through your own VPN or exit proxy when your network cannot reach proxy servers directly; MBBrowser's documentation says not to enter the proxies you bought there. The QuanticData line goes into each session's Proxy Server fields.

## One sticky IP for every MBBrowser session

Residential Premium, ISP and mobile proxies with country targeting and sticky sessions up to 1440 minutes, HTTP and SOCKS5, copied from the endpoint generator straight into MBBrowser.
