# Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sits alongside the Terms of Service and section 3 of those Terms. It is the short, practical version of what our network may be used for, and it is enforced: accounts that breach it are suspended, and the upstream networks we resell impose the same limits on us.

1. What the service is for
Collecting publicly accessible web data, and reaching the public internet from an IP in a chosen location: search results, product and price pages, public company and place data, your own accounts, your own sites, QA and ad verification.

2. What is not allowed

  Data behind a login, paywall or authentication you are not authorised to use, and bypassing access controls, device checks or CAPTCHAs on accounts that are not yours.
  Personal data without a lawful basis. You decide what to collect; you need a legal ground for it, and you must respect deletion and objection requests from the people concerned.
  Attacks and abuse of infrastructure: denial of service, credential stuffing, port scanning, vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own, spam, phishing, malware distribution, click fraud.
  Illegal content and markets: CSAM, terrorist content, stolen data or credentials, counterfeit goods, unlicensed pharmaceuticals or weapons.
  Harm to people: harassment, doxxing, stalking, covert surveillance of individuals, scraping intended to profile or target a private person.
  Deliberate overload: ignoring documented rate limits, or hitting a single target hard enough to degrade it. Collect at a rate a normal user could sustain.
  Reselling raw access in a way that circumvents our billing, or sharing credentials outside your organisation.

3. Targets you choose
We do not decide what you collect and we do not review your targets in advance. You are responsible for the sites you send traffic to, for any binding terms that apply to you on those sites, and for the use you make of the results. Where a site's terms bind you contractually, breaching them breaches this policy too.

4. Reporting abuse
If traffic from one of our IPs harmed you, write to abuse@quanticdata.io with the IP, the timestamp with timezone, and a log excerpt. We answer abuse reports within one business day, we can identify the account behind an IP and a timestamp, and we suspend accounts that are causing harm while we investigate. Requests to exclude a domain from our network are honoured — send them to the same address.

5. Enforcement
Depending on severity we may rate-limit, suspend or terminate an account, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Repeat or severe breaches end the account without refund of unused balance, as set out in the Terms. If you think a suspension was wrong, reply to the suspension email and a human will look at it.
